Have a buddy in somewhat similar situation. Punks set a storage garage (that he was renting) on fire. We hand cleared the entire lot of debris. He wanted to try to salvage anything of his parent's (a deceased army vet father and a holocaust survivor mother) and couldn't feel right about simply sifting through and leaving the rest.

She was in good spirits, trying to be empathetic would do nothing but potentially bring her general mood down, and make dealing with the investigation that much harder because then they have to be counselors or try and get information and give commands to someone crying. If you’re doing a job like a police officer has, you want to be as impartial as possible in situations a lot of the time. There are times for empathy, but if you have a compliant subject and the call is running smooth? You stick to the status quo as hard as you can.

I don't understand how they can stop her from retrieving her own property. She lived there. The place burned down. Now she is trying to salvage some of her stuff that may have survived the fire. She burnt down the shed, which could of been an accident. This lady lost everything and I see this so many times where victims are more victimized when an accident occurs such as this. I hope that community has the resources to get her healthy mentally and physically. She should be accepted in the group homes or a facility to get her back on her feet and to make sure she can live in society.

Well done to her for remaining calm, polite and respectful dispite the situation that she was in. Admitting guilt and then leaving is a lot more then some of the foolish people would do good that the police get called on both in this show and over here in Ireland where I'm from, when you see /come-across the odd police situation on the streets. I saw a homeless looking, junkie looking guy getting written-up by a lady police officer in my local city here in Ireland today. I don't know what that was about, but I rememebr about four months ago, a drug addict, that was off his head, thinking / claming that someone was chasing him, came into this McDonalds that I was eating at, annoyed the staff at the till, then went around to differant people that where sitting down eating there meals or "meals" (depending on how you would clasify McDonalds...but I was still eating there so douh).

I honestly thought this was going to be another Trashy people doing Trashy things but this woman just proved to me that a good mind can go a long way. Cops showed up but she was cooperative, kept a cool head, and gave her side of the story in a coherent way. The only thing I saw, and this is me being a little nitpicky, is how she interrupted them every now and again but all things considered (ie. losing everything to a house fire), I give her kudos for how she handled things. I echoed much of this comment thread in wishing her well and hope she finds some peace and happiness in her life.

I believe in our creator. Even if I turn out wrong have I wasted my life believing in something higher therefore having hope and loving my fellow man. Hoping maybe to touch a jaded angry non believer who may have been hurt badly, unfairly even just misguided. What might not be a big deal to you could be a debilitating tragedy for me or vice versa. We all only know what we have experienced. There's so much anger and tragedies. Will you sit there bitter falling deeper into despair, or would you like to think someone is out there who loves you. What is choice without free will. What is good if not for evil. Just think about it friend and I will say a prayer for you and yours.

And here too. I am a recovering needle junkie. I had to have a hip replacement for an unrelated issue. Before my appointment I loaded up about a 40 shot of h and banged it straight away and the surgery was only an hour away. No one knew, no complications with everything they gave me for a pretty serious surgery. I am far from a saint and I still struggle with alcohol. I am no hypocrite or think I'm above anyone on the contrary friend, I truly care and don't want to see anything hurt unjustly. I try though, I repent and try, repeat the same sins but I try and I don't know you but I know pain and I care about you.

@@buckhenderson1788 I stand by mine as well and I took no offense. I'm just a broken down hillbilly. Only 41, but with my actual life milage I'm at least double. I'm definitely oldschool. The only social media I ever had was Facebook but I left that one over ago I don't know how to tweet or Instagram any of these things I don't understand nor care too frankly but if you would like ork need to talk I will send you my email address. It's ok friend, you haven't offended me at all. I grew up a violent crazy drug addict hillbilly who took gymnastics, played sports, Greco Roman wrestling and martial arts and very much enjoyed lifting weights. Now it's hard for me to get around. I don't that to happen to you friend. I did say a prayer for you like I said I would, and another after hearing back again.

I was in a building fire started by a weirdo druggie girl "burning candles" in the apartment below me-- my disgust for these people is inexpressible. I think the renter who called the cops here feels the same.

Poor lady. I guess when it's all you have...you search the rubble. Even street people push shopping carts full of junk......but it's their junk. Those of us that live in houses, we just have more space to buy and store more junk. I hope she had somewhere to go.

Amanda was in good shape at one time in her life. You can tell by the muscle memory in her upper arms. She had a good disposition. I hope she gets it together🙏🏽
