She's right. This is very common in low income neighborhoods. Always some hustler buying cars at auction and passing them on quickly to people who only have a few thousand to spend. Keeps the TV judges in business.

It's not illegal to buy cars off Facebook. It can just sketchy, so you need to do your own research, run a vehicle history report, get your own insurance, and registration immediately.

He is giving her the chance to leave it in the parking lot it is in and get it registered, plates, and insurance before she drives it anywhere else. He is a fair cop giving her the benefit of the doubt that she got scammed and is trying not to cost her any more money.

Like paying for unisured motorists? Yes everyone who pays insurance has to pay for people like this. The car is both not registered and not insured. Its not like she had it and let it go a few days. She was driving around like that for months hoping to get away with it. Grace would be if people paid for their own insurance so other people dont have to.

How do you know it wasn't legit? People do buy from auctions and sell them on as a small business. They use their home address, not a car lot so have no overheads. All you need is a little knowledge on cars and you can get bargins like repo's ect ...

It's a good judgement call by the officer. As an officer I run into these at times where they don't have a driver's licence and no bill of sale or transfer title and no proof of insurance which turns to be multiple violations issued and impounding of the vehicle and subject to arrest if license suspended. There are many people out there with dealer license that buy and sell cars from auctions and out of their homes which is ok but important is to make sure you have the right transfer title from them to you and register that vehicle thru your local DMV as they will give a temporary registration, new plates and put your own insurance immediately before taking that vehicle from their lot.

@@Dompass1999 theyre just regular car auctions for muscles cars etc I live in indiana and they do them at the fairgrounds or other places if you can find one and most people drive the cars back to their house or can get a tow truck but 8/10 ppl let the cars sit in their drive way if they don’t want to use them or if they’re going to sell it

Lol you either take the risk of buying a car cheap but possibly get scammed, or take the safe way and overpay for your car at a dealership that you HOPE will work in the long run.. Driving sucks.

Or buy a car cheap, make sure you get everything up to date (Plates, registration, insurance etc) And fix anything else wrong with the car with the knowledge literally every grandfather teaches you against your will since you were like 6 but at least now you know how to fix a car

@@artu165 why buy a cheap car if you're just gonna end up fixing it, unless you're a mechanic I would just buy a newer car. But you have to test drive it before you hand over any kind of money whatsoever

Lol ive bought plenty of new cars from certified dealerships and gotten incredible deals its all about timing most people don't know WHEN to buy a new car... last 2 ive gotten well below 5k below MSRP

@@penguiino4531 Its about inventory not season lol... ever studied economics? High demand high price, low demand low price... I recently got a 34,000 dollar vehicle MSRP for 20,000 flat because they were bringing in there 2018 and even 2019s rolling in and they have a couple 2017s brand new unsold so the price was creeping down for about a year plus on the vehicle i just tag it and watch it fall lower and lower until i know money makers are getting ready to swoop in to buy low and resell it but I put a hold on it and go it :) haha
