Hello from an Englishman living in Sapporo in the north of Japan. Thanks once again Norrdine for another great video where you comprehensively answered a whole range of questions - thanks for making the time to do this and that's great that you will do regular livestreams. When the person at the end of the livestream asked if someone could just wander off route on Everest, apart from getting lost and not having fixed ropes which you explained, there would also be the dangers of crevasses, rockfalls, avalanches and difficult terrain amongst others - if anything went wrong anyone wandering off route would not be found. There is a reason people only follow recognised routes.

Exciting to see your channel growing quickly mate. I think it would be cool to see a dedicated video about your Mont Blanc survival ordeal. Often times we need these kinds of intense experiences to shake us out of our egoic tendencies, especially as young men, and I have had these heavy, humbling events happen to me also. I resonate a lot what you said about knowing yourself, something very important that most seem to overlook.

Hey Carl, thank you so much I am also excited to see the channel grow and I enjoy sharing my journey with you. I will definately explain what happened on Mt. Blanc in detail, because I think it is an important lesson many young mountaineers should learn.

Woher kommt eigentlich dein Name?

Would you attempt the other side of Everest next time if money wasn't a factor? I haven't been on Everest but Id imagine Everest would be a completely different experience depending on the route or side of the mountain given the size of Everest 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I think your question relates to climbing Everest from the Chinese side. Norrdine explained in the video that the Chinese do not allow people to climb Everest from the Tibetan plateau side of the mountain unless they use oxygen. As Norrdine does not use oxygen he would not be allowed to climb from the Chinese side.

@@roofsshower9541 yes but my point was that the climbing experience depends on which side of the mountain you climb, it's like two different mountains.

I would love to climb from the other side, since it is just more quiet and you can easily go up to advanced BC in sneakers. Both sides differ a lot. On the Nepal side you constantly walk on a glacier and the Khumbu Icefall is super dangerous. Otherside is much more rock and climbing and more technical. I would like to climb the Hornbei Couloir or the way Messner did it when he solod it.
