Jordan Morgan is a tackle who won't start at tackle. Most analysts expect him to slide inside to guard. So the Packers used their first round pick on either a backup player or a non-premium position that they could have filled in a later round. They still have a MASSIVE need at BOTH safety and CB.

A great pick???? A first round selection who will either be a backup tackle or a guard that they could have found in a later round. Meanwhile, they still have a MASSIVE need at both safety and CB AND a massive need at LB.

Morgan is a ready made starter for the Packers. He already uses many of James Campen’s techniques. His arm are pretty close to Bryan Bulaga’s. The techniques they use don’t rely on landing the punch.

Not a flashy pick but I feel like if you’re gonna pay love and sign a big time rb you better have the line to protect him and run the ball and that’s what they did. I think they can still get a corner later if they think valentine isn’t a long term guy. Also feel like one of those corners might be there at 41 if they really want one.

Far from sexy but it's a very good pick. We saw how inflated the tackle position was in this draft. Jordan Morgan at 25 makes sense when he's the best tackle still on the board. He came from a school with a very good offensive line coach and the Packers develop offensive line very well. I bet he's gonna develop into a great starting tackle.

The O-line protects Love, and that has always been my call for the first pick because if the Pack can't protect Love, they're going nowhere. Lost some O-lineman after the season, so a first round O-line pick seemed obvious to me, but obviously not others...
