The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is the fourth main installment of The Legend of Zelda series, and the only Zelda title on the original Game Boy. A color update, titled Link's Awakening DX, is one of the three Zelda titles for the Game Boy Color. Since its release, Link's Awakening has been popular among fans and critics. By 2004, the original release had sold 3.83 million copies worldwide, while Link's Awakening DX sold 2.22 million. In 2009, Guinness World Records named it the 42nd most influential video game of all time.

Yo this game Truly hit my nostalgia heart (I completely forgot the goombas adaptation yet remembered the chain chomp) but I played this game when I was 6 years old this was my 2nd Zelda game played of all time ❤❤❤ one of the best zelda games ever made tbh! Thank you for including my reaction!!! PS: I really missed this compilations glad to see you back ❤🙌🏻

@@skepticaltile it's most likely following the series' new art direction since the switch has become nintendo's main console of focus now, kind of like a rebranding of sorts

@Nathan Trinh and with botw being the last game on the wii u and the first on the switch, the battered and torn logo kind of signifies a kind of change that (possibly) affects future installments, since the game itself departs from the usual conventions of a traditional zelda game (they probably wanted to set the zelda games on the switch apart from previous installments but it's most likely a conscious decision from the art directors idek)

A zelda a year means ports of plenty. Next year will be twilight princess Then year after is minish cap Year after that is windwaker Year after that is link to past remaster Then skywardsword remaster. It is top down then big game throughout switch life. By time switch gets to end of its life thevlast zelda will be crossplatform botw sequal.

@@Cameron-rc5ef no Nintendo is using Zelda to carry switch through its ten year life cycle. The new botw sequal will be at end of life. Minish cap is probably about 80 percent dont or so. So best guess is twilight princess or windwaker port next year. I would think about two years out for skyward sword new version. Then year after that would be a new 2d not a reamake. 2020's game roster and timings has been massivily changed cause of prime 4's reset. Bayonetta 3 is finished and is being held to help with prime 4's original release slot next year. So remember when Bayonetta 3 releases next year that its window was supposed to be prime 4. Originally prime 4 and Bayonetra 3 were going to act as game book ends to 2020. Bayo 3 was always planed for 2020. This is why platunum has astral chain this year to help build hype for their games. 2020 will probably be the best software of switch besides this 2019 year.
