My passport has expired, my replacement drivers licence didn't arrive in time and apparently my Gas safe picture identification isn't proof of identification along with two other official forms of picture I'd and my polling card.If I'd gone in the polling station wearing a mohair jumper sandals and labour ribbons in my hair they would have probably let me vote

They claim 58% voted in my constituency but I don't believe that many turned up as I was outside 3 different polling stations a few times each at different times of the day and there was hardly anyone there. You couldn't even tell they were polling stations just by walking past. I voted at 3pm and I could see in the box that there were no more than 2 or 3 votes in it and it would have been easy to pick them out

What they don't realize is that Labour grew out of the trade union movement, and is still largely controlled by the unions (this is why Keir had to have Angela Rayner as his Deputy !). The unions are only concerned with their own members, and no one else (rich or poor) outside their own unionized world. So union leaders have a history of challenging the govt (especially Labour, which they feel they own) and demanding extra benefits for themselves, with the threat of bringing the country to a standstill if they are thwarted. (As happened in 1978-79 in the Winter of Discontent, when Labour's Jim Callaghan couldn't give them the pay rises they demanded, so they all went on strike, and nothing worked ... no electricity for half the week, sparse food in shops because road haulage drivers were on strike, no rubbish collection so it piled high on every street corner for months, etc ... ). Labour is obliged to satisfy too many specialist interests, which means it doesn't have the capacity to listen to the needs, and the will, of the rest of the people. As we shall no doubt find out !
