Many years ago Labour was the party of a working class which no longer exists . The Lords, civil service and judiciary were dominated by public school Oxbridge educated conservatives. Now the Lords is largely toothless but the civil service and judiciary are dominated by the likes of Starmer and actually run the country which is why the lawyers and civil service constantly blocked Tory legislation in the last government.
