I really wanted to catch the live. I have totally missed you guys! Lots of triple digits here in North Louisiana recently with very little rain. I do have a rain catchment system and absolutely love it. Lots of mosquito dunks going into the tanks. We have skeeters the size of Buicks here! I also hardwood mulch around a lot of my trees and flowering bushes to hold in moisture. I can get it fairly cheaply from a friend with a tree service. I made a boo boo years back and used pine mulch. It was disastrous! I am introducing cedar mulch in this year. It's doing fairly well so far. Fingers crossed! I'm using an electric mower with a bagger and catch my clippings. They go around most of my small fruiting bushes because they will hold in the moisture and are breaking down super fast right now as an added bit of fertilization. I don't use herbicides or pesticides in my yard so I know it is totally safe. My very favorite fertilizer to use doesn't come from a store. It comes from a friend who owns rabbits. I know exactly what my friend uses for her rabbit's diet so I trust it coming out the other end. I cannot speak highly enough of using rabbit poop. It's amazing! Plus, you can use it right out of the rabbit without having to age it like most other livestock poop. I also use Alaska fish fertilizer about once a month during the growing season. If you're worried about the smell of using rabbit poop, don't worry. The fish fertilizer smells infinitely worse than the rabbit poop. 😂😂

Both comfrey and compost tea work great. I just never seem to find the time to get it started during the week because they both need to ferment for a few days. You can cut down on your time by using a fishtank bubbler instead of having to go out and stir it every few hours.

I'm so jealous Tracy! I have been wanting to do vermicomposting for a while but haven't found the space/time to do it.

Speaking of video ideas, Allison... I don't know if you guys got my email but I would LOVE to see you guys do a video on an honest review of lightweight gardening sleeves. I have become really photosensitive due to some of my medications and would love for you guys to review them. They make tons of claims about them, I just want to know if they are worth the hype.

@Spoken Garden, what are your thoughts on using Scott's Fertilizer for Vegetables & Flowers which is a 10-10-10 and pellets placed atop the soil and reapplied every 2 months. I am in my first season of container planting Grey Zucchini & Roma Tomato from seed from Eden Bros. I am in So. Calif. in Zone 10.
