wish i would have called this guy before i called this other place... they dont explain why and when...this guy gives his students so much information and dont get angry for messing up but explains how to fix it

He is SO AWESOME teaching his students. I watch him a lot. I became a better driver watching him. I recommended him to my instructor. Even my classmates have been watching him a lot.

Just got my CDL Friday and honestly , I learned from watching your videos than I learned with my own instructor hands down. 👍 I had about 12 hours of driving and 8 hours of maneuvers.. I literally watched your videos on my last couple of hours or driving and next thing you know, I passed my pre trip, maneuvers, and road test all at once. 💯

I learn to drive on a 10 speed I went to the test site and fail 3 or 4 times . I pass the test on my first tried on a 6 speed . if this instructor was my teacher there is no way I would've fail . He say thing I never knew before . I'm in bed watching him giving this student lesson and I think I can drive this truck know . thus instructor is for the students that for sure . I can't say anything bad about him . He's a true teacher . Guys lime him we need out there teaching us .

So on floating up shift = big tap out to neutral little gas to gear ? Down shift = little tap out to neutral big tap into gear ?

Upshift: you already giving gas, just pop out as you let off the gas, go straight to next gear in less than 2 secs Downshift: same, come off gas then pop out, bigger gas rev (200 rpm from pop out point) straight into lesser gear. Example, while giving little gas and dropping to 10 rpms at the same time, pull it out with the lift of your gas foot, that will pop it out of gear, then rev 200 rpm from the out point which was 10 rpms to 12 rpms to go into gear.

Can someone answer me im at a school that my instructor only gives me two behind the wheel road practice. Thats all I get for me to know before I go to take my first test. Is that legal? I told him I need more behind the wheel so I can get comfortable with the standard but he say I should know how to do that after two tries. I failed my road test today but past everything else or else I can't go on the road.

Most places that test for your cdl require you to double clutch so that's why instructors teach that method, some places are pretty relaxed and don't care as long as you don't stall the truck. The DPS office I tested at I was able to float the gears and passed.

@@shaneb7378 should learn the hard way first (Basic) , thats a learning process then its up to you later on as long as the truck is moving.
