Yes! If they continue to skirt the truth and deliberately or recklessly promote disinformation, they need to be sanctioned. Also, Newsmax and OAN are terrible about misleading people and spreading wild disinformation. I see it with a few of my friends and extended family members. They are so sure that what they are consuming is factual.

We changed the law here in Australia to keep Murdock accountable. Best thing we ever did. Murdock Media (Sky Australia) is still powerful but only the crazies go there. Well, the investigation into Russian collusion began under Obama so yes, I think it was known but not yet proven. So, unfortunately, by the time that investigation was a hot item in the news, Trump had already been elected. Then, he fired Comey, he was impeached but acquitted, then launched a coup and was impeached again and acquitted again. NOW, if anyone still doesn't get it that he is a security threat, they've been in a coma!

The More You Know: Memorial Day was started by former slaves on May, 1, 1865 in Charleston, SC to honor 257 dead Union Soldiers who had been buried in a mass grave in a Confederate prison camp. They dug up the bodies and worked for 2 weeks to give them a proper burial as gratitude for fighting for their freedom. They then held a parade of 10,000 people led by 2,800 Black children where they marched, sang and celebrated. Thanks to Abstrakt Goldsmith for this nugget of history that most of us never learned in school.

I could not agree more as a fellow European how antiquated America is. I came here 25 years ago and my first impression coming out of JFK in a cab was what a sheethole - the roads were truly third world. The problem is, I live on Long Island the roads have only gotten worse!! My car is only 4 years old yet I have had to burst tires 7 times with the potholes. Every time there is a wind, or a branch falls from a tree and dings the overhead wires, our power switches on or off or we lose internet. We have no sewers in Suffolk County - I know it is in parts of Nassau, but the rest of it geographically is slow coming. In fact, I still see so many places where you need to wipe your nehind and put it in a trash can because the plumbing is so inadequate. The basics are so lacking here and it isn't getting anhy better. It isn't going to get any better as those massive bridges that were built over a hundred years ago get older and older. Can you imagine trying to get one of those built today? Despite what they keep telling us, sometimes it is like living in the third world. And for all you people that yell why not go travel and see the world and then come back and say America is top for everything, because we are not.

@@evangiles4403 i disagree. churchill took over for chamberlain, so the war was in progress when churchill took the reigns. and despite, what the media claims, and the history channel, churchill had a diaper full all the time. he was scared to death of germany. with a certain amount of righteousness. i get that they were much closer to the war then america. but eisenhower even called churchill a pusssy before d day. churchill wanted to keep putting it off. thought it wouldnt work and was crazy. told the US you dont know what you are going up against. because it took 3 ss soldiers to take out 10 british. but so what britain isnt americans. and patton, the 101, 87th airborne, millions of marines showed the world how bad ass we are eventually. so if anyone had the chance to take out hitler, it was annie oakley. and she struggled with that fact till she died

I remember it. I was worried that something might happen to Biden if he was sworn in outside. It was a very scary time. I was glad to see the fortifications go up, and I was very relieved when the inauguration went off all right and nothing bad happened.

At 30:00 they talk about spies getting killed and Navalny and other Russian opposition leaders getting poisoned. The one name they *didn't* mention is Alexander Litvinenko, who was poisoned by the KGB back in 2006 with polonium-210. It's a very interesting yet tragic story that's absolutely related to today's topic, if anyone is interested in reading about it.

When the story broke that Trump stole government documents pertaining to foreign intel sources (spies, interpreters, civilians) that have not been recovered, someone (I recall Tim Alberta mentioning it) wrote an article that suggests the best way to prove how much Trump compromised the US Intelligence was is to look at the number of stars on the wall of the CIA headquarters between January 2017 to now.

Anthony, I was divorcing in 1999. My estranged husband and his girlfriend now wife told wild stories that were scattered with bits of truth yet mixed with a variety of untruths. I told my parents that “Truth mixed with lies becomes truth” Especially when the person being lied about states that the story has some truth. In the media, this use to be called “yellow journalism”, now it’s called“alternate truth” I hope one day I can communicate with you. I’m a layperson in this cluster f*ck called Trump,however I feel I have been spot on since this nightmare came to light.

This describes my aunt and cousin - compulsive habitual liars - always based on a kernel of truth. And the last guy I dated. Watched him try to seed a thought in a way I'd think it was my own, and saw how the prior couple dates stacked up to that. I remember audibly groaning like you gotta be kidding me you think I'm that dumb. He's exceedingly intelligent and no doubt gets away with his calculations routinely, and so a bit of arrogance as to underestimate me. That was the immediate end. I'm not the person who buys the lemon from the slick used car salesman.
