I'm only 21 and I envy your generation. I would much rather be getting old and have been able to live through such an amazing era rather than to grow up in a generation I dont belong in. I really can't relate to people my age man.
@bolee9858
@bolee9858 4 жыл бұрын
@@jaxonmoon9815 Don’t “envy,” just enjoy the 80's & 90's. Many of us back then probably felt we didn’t belong (I did), that’s just growing pains. Only when you look back, you realize how amazing it was…that’s why every step you take now needs to count. You’re only 21 man! The world is your oyster! You can do anything! Make us old guys proud and bring “amazing” to your generation and when you look back, you’ll be like “I was blessed in the 2020's!” GL!

Brilliant! Sounds as amazing, fresh and unique as it did the first time I heard it. What The genius of The Cure to me is any of their songs can be alternative, rock, ballad, pop, dark, goth, synth, dance, odd, relatable, complicated, simple, however all of them are actually beautifully constructed expressions of surprisingly universal appeal. That is remarkable and dare I say “Beatlesque”. The Cure are timeless! ❤️

Nobody and I mean NOBODY in this world can ever have such a unique and magnificent voice like Robert Smith. Nobody can sing a cure song and sound as good as Robert (they can do a good cover of the cure but nobody can nail it like Robert) Robert Smith is a genius! He’d probs wouldn’t agree but he truly is one of a kind.

Yes a totally unique voice. And unmatched song writing. Make him so special. And a great band as well. Simon s Bass caries the whole thing along.

Robert Smith is amongst those singers that learn to adapt their voice so 30+ years down the road they can still perform well. For example, I think Eddie Vedder's voice now might be better than back in 1991.

Ehm... no, Eddie Vedder's voice is nowhere near what was like in the early 90's. He was a beast, his energy was off the charts and it transpired though his voice. Like others have said, MTV Unplugged is their top video documented performance (having Dave Abbruzzese on drums made no small difference, btw :D Or you could go check out the 1994 Atlanta gigs. Unbelievable. After those, it kinda went downhill for PJ.

My parents were in the 80's. It is thanks to my dad that I know this song, he tells me that in his youth, he liked this band a lot and to this day he continues to listen to it, he also tells me that the style of the singer, his hair and makeup, he liked it a lot from the first time he heard it. Sadly it didn't exist in those years and honestly I've started to like this song a lot. it's really precious! and I can't get over the piano solo 2:26 woah 😱😱 I love it - I love it!! ❤❤❤❤ Sounds as good as in the original vid
