you forgot to mention that Calgary has a world class zoo, plus heritage park and Drumheller is a short drive away. All great options for families.

I love both cities. I have lived in both, worked in both. I even bicycled between both cities. I usually take the side 2A highway through the Nisku, Wataskawin, Ponoka, Lacombe, Red Deer, Penhold, Innisfail, Bowden, Olds, Carstairs, Crossfield, Airdrie. Beautiful sites. I take my time. Collect bottles on the road and cash them in at these towns. I won't say anything bad because I love both cities equally. For Malls, Edmonton is the best. For Mountain views, Calgary is the best. I have biked through Jasper and Banff from both cities in the western direction. I love both River Valleys. Edmonton is fun. So is Calgary. Even Red Deer for that matter.

Thank you for sharing the info. We are looking to love to Alberta in the Sunmer still trying to figure out what’s the best for our family. Could you share more on the school systems there, based on some research, Calgary schools seem to be very overcrowded. Thanks!

Edmonton is too cold for 6months. It is alright if you're young but when you get older Edmonton is too cold.
