Nunez is gonna give that little bit extra. I believe we'll narrowly beat them to the league this season, Europe looks alot harder. Nunez only had 3 rivals in terms of goalscoring conversion rates last year, Haaland and Nkunku. At around 30% Nunez came out with the best conversion rate in any top league worldwide. His stats are staggering last year. Struck gold and he'll deliver.

I actually don’t think we were desperate to win when the game kicked off, but when city equalised they showed how much they wanted it which raised our level again. Carvalho and Elliott look so special, Diaz terrifies players and Nunez is just a constant threat from everywhere, he really is the modern striker who can do everything. I also think Haaland might have quietly taken away from city’s sheer dominance of the ball that they normally have, they strangle teams normally just from constant pressure, maybe he will adapt but maybe not. All good signs, just worried about our two good keepers being out atm, need them back asap as Adrian just is nowhere near their level.

City dominated the ball as much as they usually do against Liverpool, so I don't see that, had more shots on target too, more of a case of penalty luck and finishing that let them down rather than tactics and set up

I just have a feeling this could be a little like the 2019-20 season where we get off to such a fast start we end up effectively winning the league by November/December time. I think the way City start this season is crucial and it will take them a while to get used to playing with Haaland as a number 9. If they drop 10-12 points early doors that’s how it could go.

City might be rivals but more to them than us but the thing is can you imagine if it would have been Manchester Utd we had been battling with these past 4 yrs !! Imagine just how worldwide epic that would have been! Films would have been made , all the analysis in the media on games and points difference like we have every season , it just would have been on a completely different level and thank God it wasn't because we,d be way more crushed and scarred by the 1 point losses and that's the difference between rivalry with City and our historical rivalry with the other shites.

Chambers at LB was impressive, Got himself into more advanced positions 2nd half. Elliott's eagerness & desire caught my eye, Get him on the pitch at Fulham & watch this space !
