Liverpool FC announce new stadium for Women's team

Liverpool FC Women will now play home games at St Helens' Totally Wicked Stadium.
The new home is a huge positive step forward in the progress of the women’s team, with a brand-new high-performance Premier League standard pitch being laid, enhanced and exclusive use player facilities and an improved matchday experience for supporters.
The stadium will continue to be home and property of St. Helens R.F.C., with the men’s and women’s Rugby League teams also benefitting from the pitch upgrade. With the Rugby League season running from February through to September, LFC Women will have sole occupancy of the stadium for almost half the season.
The team will also enjoy having their own bespoke dressing room for the very first time, and the red stadium will be revamped for home games to make it look and feel part of the LFC family, including the addition of the club crest and other significant branding.

Club America (Asteca - 87,523), Tigres (Estadio Universitario - 68,000), Arsenal (The Eremites-60,704), Atlas (Estadio Jalisco -56,713) and Monterrey (Esadio BBV - Estadio BBVA) have the biggest stadiums in the women’s side of the game. Disappointed that Anfield is only semi-permanent residence for now but with more games at Anfield it’s better than nothing and a better move considering our academy play at St Helens stadium which is a huge upgrade, especially with a premier league pitch and stadium renovations installed. As it stands in the UK, Arsenal, Bristol City, Charlton Athletic, Southampton, Leicester City, Sheffield United, MK Dons, Reading, Birmingham, Barnet / London Bees, Birmingham City and Kilmarnock all play at their main stadiums. While Aston Villa, Chelsea, Portsmouth, Blackburn Rovers, Liverpool, A.F.C Wimbledon have semi-permanent residency. Burnley, A.F.C Wimbledon, Chelsea and Portsmouth all plan to move to their main club stadium. YNWA
