Epic video! Perfect soundtrack. Great historical footage. Top shelf editing. It makes me reminisce on how I became a Liverpool fan. As an Australian kid in 1981, I remember the English Premier League was often free to air on tv. I think there were just 2 tv channels then. Cricket and football were often the only things to watch on a weekend. I remember Liverpool were big and I remember Craig Johnston joining the team and he was often on tv. He had charisma, commanded respect and he spoke about the game in a way I had never experienced. He was one of my first idols and probably my dream dad at the time. I was playing football by the time Maradona became a global superstar in the 86 World Cup. Then there was the Hillsborough disaster in 89. Helpless fans, men, women and children struggling to breath, fear in their eyes as they were slowly crushed alive against the wire mesh baricades. It was a horrifying and unforgettable tragedy to witness, but something all Liverpool fans should know about. I later followed Harry Kewell's career at Liverpool and remember the Champions League victory with Gerrard. 2 new idols. Eventually, I got the internet and I was able to finally learn how all the leagues and championships tied together. I was a Brazilian fan and loved Ronaldinho, but when it came to Premier League, there was no other option for me. Liverpool was my team. It wasn't about the trophies. It was about the club culture. The history, the honour, the sportsmanship, the never die attitude, the passion, the Liverpool Club family. Robby Foulers honesty in refusing a league winning penalty kick is a great example of this. To those fans around the world who have recently started following Liverpool. Be humble. Be loyal. Appreciate the years of blood sweat and tears. Have faith in Klopp. We have not won in a long time, but when we do, the world will know about it and the celebrations will be on another level. YNWA.

I have watched NRL and AFL with interest, but nothing that rivals the passion I feel for LiverpoolFC. As a young bloke, I was privileged to live in Paris in 1981 and stand outside Parc des Princes (I couldn't get a ticket - bloody Scousers!) and hear the chants as a sea of red entered the stadium against Real. These clips remind me of the passion Liverpool evokes. I love it!

This team is more than special. The last time we won something I was only 11 or 12 and it was only the league cup but I remember it meaning so much to me because it's the first trophy we won after I really started understanding football, the last was the FA Cup in 06, when I would've only been 5. I'm 19 in a few months and by the time I get there I know we'll have won either the league or champions league, or both if we're ballsy enough. Seasons gonna end in tears again but hopefully ones of joy.
