Salah has played his heart out for the reds for seven years. He could have indicated he wanted to leave last year when he got an astronomical offer from Saudi, but he decided to stay. I think he earned the benefit of the doubt. He wants to stay and break more records.

Money doesn't play football players do. Just because a player is expensive doesn't mean he's better. Example we got Macalister for 38m Chelsea got Enzo for 106m . Who got the better player? Salah 34m, Antony at Manchester United 90m. Is Antony better than Salah because he costs more? Is robbo 8m inferior to chilwel 50m? Statements are made on the pitch winning trophies not on transfer spending.

LIV fans do not get to decide where/who to sell Salah to. I don't think Salah minds leaving for another solid European club aka Inter, Bayern, Chelsea, or maybe even PSG. He doesn't want to go to Saudi just yet IMHO...he's too young for Saudi. He's not 35/36/37 years old. CR7 joined Saudi at almost 38. Benzema joined Saudi at almost 36. Salah has earned the right to choose his next destination if he no longer wants to honor the last year of his contract. LIV should extend his contract to summer 2027. This will increase his value for Saudi if he wants to leave in 2026. He'll be 34 by then, and probably will start showing signs of slowing down, and will be more amenable to go to Saudi, I believe.

I think you should not care about money, since FSG will not pay for new players more than they have decided to do before hand, so the extra money you will get by selling Salah or anyone will not be put back to the club. That's what I saw when we didn't get caicedo.

Trent is not stupid. He is waiting, to see if the club actually continue investing and challenging. He has won everything, but since 2020, in 4 years we won 1 FA cup and 2 Carabao cups. If he goes to Madrid, he's winning multiple CLs and probably a few La Ligas regularly. It's not like the club is sitting around not offering him a deal. We count up to the cents, and have not been winning the biggest trophies. Not every player will be like Gerrard and stay through all of that.

It would be ridiculous to sell Diaz for around 60m, while keeping Nunez & Salah around. Diaz was our greatest attacking threat by far during the end of the season & left everything on the pitch every game. Unlike Nunez & Salah. FSG also back at it with their poor contract management. As if it didn’t came to haunt us several times during the past. Terrible owners.

Salah is still our most threatening. He creates chances for others and still scores goals. He's not the dynamic player anymore and probably can't be as effective on the wing. But he can play centrally. Diaz plays his heart out, but output is not his strong suit. None of our other attackers both stay fit and produce output as consistently as Salah, even now.

Hopefully this is just posturing from.the club to maximise a fee for Salah. I dont think Edwards is the type that would purposely allow an asset run their contract down and leave for free, unless it was driven by the player.

Or the reason for not extending Trent VVD and Salah is because they're being phased out. I have no problem seeing them in another team. Coady, Williams,origi, Henderson, tayiwo ,lallana, milner, clyne, benteke, Torres, Suarez , coutinho, mascherano, and Owen even played for Man united. Liverpool FC didn't collapse because they're gone did it? Remember Liverpool FC existed before the 2016/17 season when the trio in question joined up.

I would say Trent and Virgil will resign new contacts, salah ,Diaz and Nunez will leave this summer, big job for new boss, but hopefully he gets a large transfer chest to replace players plus add to the squad , if you get rid of Jones, Kostas and Adrian should add little bit of money and space for improvement additions

Just because the PIF bid for Salah last season does not guarantee that they're going to bid this season,or they're not going to lowball us and offer 20m for example. They'll get him for free next season so why spend a fortune? Remember Andre trindade? Fluminense thought they'd spark a bidding war for him and in the end no bids were forthcoming even from Liverpool who wanted him initially. Liverpool is not Salah, he can go for free the world would not end because he did .

Craig, why on earth do you think Liverpool are in control of the situation with Salah ?? This is totally controlled by Salah. If they try to sell him, he can simply say ‘not interested’ and stay put on his £350k+ weekly, and look forward to being a free agent next year. His form dropped off after afcon and when klopp/fsg made the stupid decision to make that announcement. Also he won every lactate test, so is still the fittest member of the squad. I appreciate a few weeks of bad finishing towards the end of the season. But really I think its stupid to presume that him done. Just think he felt let down and betrayed by that mid season announcement. There would be offers from all over the world for him, not just saudi. Are all these people wrong and you right ? And he also created about 20 chances for nunez in the second half of the season, he missed 19 of them. Your either anti salah or have little knowledge of the game. He must stay at all costs, if he leaves on a free a year later, he owes us nothing
