Nice simple workflow with that intrepid. Just got a chroma so I’ll bear that in mind.

A tip for you. I have found that a black Tshirt works amazingly well as dark cloth. Put the neck over the camera and then you use the sleeves to access the ground glass for focusing. Try it you will be happy I am sure.

Not so much here. Distortion introduced casually into architectural compositions by failing to square up the film plane to the building. Smartphone as exposure meter. To impart knowledge to others, first you have to understand what you are doing.I love the enthusiasm of the fellow, but you need to learn the craft before plowing around.

There is no right or wrong,,, there is only doing, if he is happy with the results, then he did it right, whatever tools he uses is his concern, and not for the world to govern, control or criticize. Photography is not a Science, is an expression, in his hase his personal expression. I applaud him.

The metering for the portraits was a little off. Couldn't see your face that well. Always adapting and learning with large format so I can't say I'm much better haha.

Thanks for the video. Love the camera. Try a spot meter, get those shadows dialed in. Nice compositions, just need to get precise with metering. Shots are a bit underexposed.

Neat camera and I see its only £280. I'd like to start larger format B & W and will have to keep Intrepid in mind. I actually considered building one myself to test drive the format before I took the plunge, but the price point is low enough I might just as well try to order one.

Wondering how do you determent the f-stops, the field of focus are way smaller on large format. If you want all in focus how high f-stop will you need?

Cool video. I suggest learning the zone system and using a spot meter for more control of your results.

Grant. We are beyond the zone system now, with superb film and lenses, metering the light correctly, far better than Ansel Adams guess work.

Good intent. But a lot of out of focus filming. Even your Outro is out of focus. I also think the film holder hade some light leaks on the side of the handle.
