He’s not worth 100 million but I don’t understand fans kicking off about the fact he used to play for Everton, need to get a grip, we released him from our academy when he was 11 and he had to work his way up to build his career, you can’t berate him for doing that, he never loved Everton anyway, if he’s going to come here get his head down and do well for us you can’t have a problem with that especially considering he’s an LFC fan

@@TP-pq9xx yes it was, they even said do publicly. They explained they couldn’t burn everything on one player because we don’t have that option. Other teams had it but Liverpool doesn’t. In other words saying we don’t have the cash an ability to buy such a player. And when they had to sell our midfield to finance Endo and Graven it proved we lacked funds.

I think that there's a minimum criteria £100m signings must meet in order for them to be viable; they have to be better than what we already have. Have a margin for profitability if we have to sell on and most importantly - be good enough to make up the gap between 3rd place and top. Anything less and you're splurging money on squad players.

I hope this isn't true, I am fully aware of Gordon abilities on the pitch. He is a talent, no doubt! But i just think 100m's is too much money to pay for him. If Liverpool spend that amount of money on him I will support the club and player. But at the same time i will be baffled by that move. Because the club didn't even want to spend 50m's on Lavia or 35 m's on Kone the list goes on. Baring in mind these were players we desperately needed. I just don't get the hesitation there last summer. Not filling the gaps have cost us now for 2 seasons. 🙄

Every time Núñez misses one you guys kill him: “and he costed 85 million.. bla bla..” My view: only special talents cost within a range of 85 to 110 million.. a spectacular player.. A player that can get you a return even beyond the pitch with his superstar status.. No defender, midfielder, etc, should ever cost that unless he can contribute an eye-popping edge to his game: unusual goals/assists contributions for his position or something that sets him apart.. For attacking players is the same a good technical winger that can pass his man and center the ball is worth something but not big money unless he has a lot of goals/assists in him.. ala: Mo, for example.. An okay winger like Gordon, surely is not worth that kind of money..

Everton will get a windfall if we agree £100mil to buy him . We should not release him for free when he was in the academy and it is a stupid thing to pay for him £100mil now. Instead, we can buy bukoyoko and 1 decent CB with that amount of money. Don't waste that £165mil investment money.
