It's a Christmas miracle, Darwin scoring from his first attempt. What I love about the lad is, after he scores, he puts all his effort into trying to setup someone else, even when he was in solid positions to make a go himself. Team player, exactly what you want from Mister Chaos. I was beyond frustrated with Gakpo. Gomez constantly made runs behind him and every time Gakpo kept dribbling inside which, aside from assisting Darwin resulted in nothing. Gomez was hungry, oh so eager to get involved but the whole team kept ignoring his runs and quite often solid positioning. How many times did you see him on the sideline alone with Burnley players far away from him. A good ball to him, with his pace, he'll cover ground and at the very least unbalance the Burnley defensive line. He may not be a natural leftie and can't cross with it but he can still pass the back back and create a chance. God, seeing that throughout the match made me yell at the monitor. Endo had a bit of an odd evening. He put the effort in, no question there, but things just weren't clicking. I remember those games, you're all so eager to play only to have nothing going your way. But he's growing into it and you love to see it. Trent had plenty of instances where he approached defending like he's trying to shake the left back role. Might be a good idea to give Gomez that slot and finally get defending the channel off of Trent's back, he's halfassing it anyways. Moving forward, he's going places. Quansah is making an argument with each game he plays. Playing with Virgil is perfect for him, who better to teach the youngster the tricks of the trade. He has a bright future ahead of him. Subs need no introduction. Jota netted me 300 Euro, the moment he was subbed on I dropped 50 on him to score and in his usual fashion, he delivers. His return is going to be massive for rotating through the tough schedule without loosing quality. I didn't know what to expect from this game, I'm still stuck with tough Dyche Burnley image in my head. The game was a blast. You feel Burnley are a few solid signings away from making it click. Odobert was a joy to watch, the young lad in their goal was top notch as well. This team could be something else with a few tweaks or defensive stability. If only they could survive the relegation battle, the experience would be priceless for them. Then again, maybe another season in the Championship is exactly what they need to figure those few areas out. But then they'd be missing out on the competitive level of EPL. Tierney needs no mention. How that man is allowed to own a whistle is beyond me.

This game was a one-sided game to begin with. With Liverpool's dominance, 2-0 is a bit of a letdown. We should have easily win with at least 4 goals. But taking the positives, Nunez finally scored. Hope this form continues after Christmas as per my prediction. He just have to take it easy. The goals will come for our Uruguayan striker. Although substituted, he deserved the ovation. i think giving Jota some play time was the right call especially in the last minutes of the game with Liverpool already so dominant. Gravenberch is given his favorite position. He's effective right in the centre. He's the ultimate box-to-box player but the center is quite crowded at the moment. Gravenberch should bide his time. His first season, he has the potential to be better than Gini Wijnaldum if he's played to his position. Very happy to have Jota back. He's actually a super sub and operating on the attacking left, he's always at his element. Jones need to work out a fearsome partnership with him that could terrorize the left side of play. The left linkup is still Liverpool's achilles heel. It has always been disguised by the left attack players running back, which negates the problem. Our left attack is alright with Jota, Diaz, probably Nunez and now Gakpo all vying a place for it, so its a welcomed headache for Klopp. But attacking middle or link up from the left is still left to be desired. Andy Robertson made the left looks so tenable when he's playing, truth be told, its this area that needs improvement especially now with Robbo and Tsimikas are both down. I had proposed that Tsimikas be upgraded in the near future to attacking left, because that Greek scouscer can really run and pass. Its for the guv'nor to think about because it overlaps Robbo's wingback position when our Scottish captain is back. Right side of midfield is very strong. Szobo and Elliot at in a competition to make it their own. And i say good for them! Elliot is an exciting player. How much more he can develop as an attacking player, i want to follow closely. Szobo is suave! he definitely will be crucial in the second part of the season. I hope he is rested. He's definitely going through a phase after so much elation on his play beginning of the season. Like Nunez, he should find, evolve and play to his strength. Jarell Quansah, keep learning from the best! you have him beside you today. He fits in very well in any CB position. That he's ahead of Gomez now indicates to me he's a natural there. Konate-Quansah combo is the future from the looks of it when VVD calls it a day. Could be a formidable duo especially when we have a dependable no.6 covering them. Could be a Hansen-Lawrenson partnership with Souness covering them rebirth! Those were the good old days when the term "all conquering" was synonymous with The Mighty Reds! Gakpo is excellent today. Burnley could not contain him. He's playing in the left side rips apart Burnley. He's definitely my MOTM. Should not rotate him too often if he's having the momentum unless his matchplay is slipping. Nunez deserves a mention too for good performance today. I won't go apesh*t today with the victory, because Liverpool is expected to win today. But taking nothing away from the lads, being top of the league at the moment halfway through the season is commendable. We still have to be consistent and churn out results as Klopp expects them. Keeping pace til February is the target. Arsenal is expected to falter at the last one-third of the season as they always do :) This is my analysis. YNWA. Congrats to the lads.
