Verry Very Good....so sad nearly all gone....I love the docks area.....my job took me in all the docks from the 1990s.....south docks gone then......loved to building ect.

I have a map from the era the two historians in the wonderful video.are talking about. We spent last Christmas at a hotel by the Albert Dock.and enjoyed a great week.along the Watrrfront and a walk at Otterspool

It is said that the granite used to build the original docks was from Dalbeattie in SW Scotland. Also the footings of Sydney Harbour Bridge, and London Embankment.. Aberdeen might be known as Granite City - but Dalbeattie is the Granite Town. Have a look at the houses.

My father Mr James Murray who was there that day of the filming and great freind of Normans. Sadly passed away on 14/1/21 after a long battle with cancer..Reunited with Norman again 😔

Such a shame what they have done to the south docks...I walked along the prom at the rear of the Chinese Restaurant a few weeks ago and was looking at what remains of the lock entrances...very sad.. It was very low water that day and when we got as far as the Liverpool Marina we saw the remains on 2 wooden structures...one just south of the Brunswick entrance and 1 just North of it...looked like they may have been piers, I wonder id anybody could tell me what they where.
