RIP Charlie, you deserve the best heaven has to offer! He built my little league football team a whole facility for us to play home games at. He also came to see me in the desert, when I was a Marine, I also live in his town and I've worked a lot of hours at his beatiful home, he always made me feel like a friend instead of a fan!! We can say all to real nice words about him and we would all be right But truth be told, He was just the BEST DAM FIDDLE PLAYING SON OF A GUN THERE EVER WAS!!’ I’ve listened to Charlie and the CDB for over fifty years and have only had 3 favorite performers Jerry Reef, Charlie Daniels, and Alan Jackson. And Now two are gone but Charles William Daniels will live in the hearts of everyone who’s ever heard him. G bless you Charlie, nobody plays the Orange Blossom Special better than you. Here's a cool Charlie Daniels story. While I was living in the Burgh, my Friend Jim Cleary had a way to break-into 3 Rivers stadium, before the ticket entrances opened. It was a Divisional playoff versus the Dolphins, December 1979. We were inside and saw Charlie walk out onto the field. He was in the Burgh for a show that night. We called to him and he started waving a Terrible Towel and whooping. Shortly after that game he made the tune "In America". "You just go and lay your hand on a Pittsburgh Steeler Fan" The Steelers stomped the fish.

I was heartbroken to hear about the passing of Charlie Daniels. I saw him for the first time in concert in 2017. I have Travis Tritt to thank for that. He was playing a concert with Charlie Daniels and we went to see Travis Tritt. I liked Charlie, but I wasn’t as familiar with his music. He was so damn good live! I could not wait to go back to another one of his shows and I talked about it every few months. This year, I said that we should go see him again, and then the pandemic happened. He was the oldest performer there and he outdid every performer there. He stole the entire show in my opinion. I am so devastated that I will never see another Charlie Daniels concert again or that I will never have the chance to meet him. He was a one of a kind, genuine, patriotic, wise person. I loved his words of wisdom and his candor. Most of all, I loved that more than anything, when describing him, people said that he was kind! Rest well Charlie! You will surely be very much missed!

I'd like to think the universe for allowing me to see this, because I know I never will. ( honestly the best music of the Grand ole lady of the South is in Heaven to Night)
