Mahirap ang buhay at kalagayan ng mga mangingisda kahit buwis buhay ang trabaho nila sa laot. Samantalang ang mahal ng presyo ng mga isda sa mga palengke. That is so unfair. Ang yumayaman yong mga negosyante na umaangkat lng ng paninda sa mga manginigisda kasi ang laki nila mgpatong or magpatubo sa mga angkat nila pag pinasa na sa palengke plus xempre patungan pa ng mataas ng mga nagtitinda sa palengke. Minsan di lng 1 kundi 2 or 3 middleman ang dadaanan bago makarating sa palengke ang mga isda. Ang kwawa yong mga mamamayan na namimili ng isda at mas kawawa yong mga mangingisda na sia talagang naghirap sa pghuli ng mga isda. Sana mabago ang sistema. Mula sa mangingisda diretso na sa mga mamimili yong isda para win-win situation. Panalo sa mga mangingisda at panalo din sa mga mamamayang namimili.

How do they make money? I am really disappointed with the amount of trash it has become the dirt...

They make money by fishing. I think a lot of these trash came from different places around the Manila bay area. These are dispersed trash coming from around the bay.

I will tell you the truth on how many families make money and you will not like the answer but it is the truth. Many filipino families will send the eldest daughter, when she turns 18, to work in the bars in ANgeles City...about 90 minutes north of Manila. The girl will work in the bars where foreigners visit and go barfine...meaning they will go to the hotel with the foreigner to have sex. Usually for not much money , but more than she could ever make at another job. The girl will send most of this money home. If she is a virgin, the Mamasan in the bar will not allow her to barfine until a foreigner agrees to pay her "cherry barfine." Meaning he will pay big money ( usually 50,000 - 100,000 pesos...about $1,000 - $2,000 for her first time). The bar takes a big cut of this and the girl sends the rest home. A sad but accurate reality. And the really sad part is that many times the money sent home is wasted away on liquor and gambling not food or medicine. Now you know.

No, Ron, they do not need help. If you visit the country you will see what I mean. Most of these people gamble their resources away, they could not care less. A dirty place does not create itself, people create it. They are lazy, it is not their problem to clean up, that is the response you get when you speak to them, it is the government's job to clean. They will live like rats before moving a finger, just look at the clothes they wear, the shoes they have, then decide for yourself.

I don't blame you for taking a good look at the girl in the fish stand, I think she is amazingly beautiful and would love to know her. Alas I am in california and she is there. A seriously beautiful girl though. wonder if she would like a rich older man from California?????????
