for the charging station, drill a large hole/cut out a slot in the back of the dresser! then you can run all the wires out the back :D I did this with my nightstand and it's so clean to never see the wires, you'll love it!

Make sure to be really careful and look into making your dog’s food bowl elevated because I once did that and my dog got this terrible terrible thing called GDV (bloat) and I don’t know much about it but it was traumatizing to see my dog in such pain and I wouldn’t want anyone else’s dog to ever go through that! Much love ❤️

i love love love the idea of switching out knobs it can be a really inexpensive way to freshen up the space. i did it about a year ago and im so happy i did. i also love the funky knobs you put on your dresser. i think it would be fun if you painted your dresser aswell and gave it a new look. also congrats on the big chop it looks great on you and i also tend to hide behind my hair due to past hair loss but if its any consolation, i still think your hair is decently long and its a great thing you donating it!! :)

the art wall is amazing!!! And tbh I have killed 3 spider plants lol! Theyre not easy plants as muc has the internet claims! Only thing is maybe raise the lowest kitchen shelf you installed? It falls in line with your window shelf and cuts the space up a little. The gap between the shelves is visually odd. As for cord management, you could add C hooks or attach them to the underside! Or drill a hole into the dresser to thread the extension cord through is another option.

I’m not sure what you could use to do so, but I would try to stick the cords to the bottom of that shelf. Maybe wrap some twine around them to keep them together and screw in a little hook under the shelf to attach it to?

Idea for the charger cables: you could get a spade bit for your drill and make a hole in the back of the drawer that way you can run the cord through the back and hide everything 😊

Could you do a video on all of the tools that you bought to be able to do these sort of things? I would love to see someone talking about just the basic things to have
@SedonaChristina
@SedonaChristina 2 жыл бұрын
Yes!! For sure! I'd love to talk about this in a video! Until I can post that video though, the gist of it is: The drill isn't mine, it's a friends. BB was not wanting to drop money on that when all of my friends' sit in their closets most days 😂 It is a bit of an inconvenience to have to plan my tasks around grabbing one from someone though. The only "big tool" I've really bought has been the hand saw (which was bought in a moment of rage at the hardware store when they didn't have anyone to operate their hand saw in store -"I was like heck it, I don't have time for this. Looks like BB is doing it herself!" hahaha! And then I have a simple tool set that I've had forever (the Ikea one) that has a small hammer, multi-head screw driver, and wrench. It's in a nice case (the same one they sell it in), and I actually *luv* it. V simple but gets the job done! Definitely recommend having at least that if you're moving on your own. And the combo of those has gotten me by! I also bought some sandpaper and stain to do the wood! And a laser level and simple stud finder (the magnetic basic one -not the easiest but worked for $4 when I hung the shelves! I HIGHLY recommend the channel "Dad, How Do I?" on KZfaq!! He was so helpful!) The shelving brackets I used came with screws I've been using up, and I had a set of nails that I bought an embarrassingly long time ago my freshman year of college 10yrs ago that I've been lugging around ever since 😂 . And that's pretty much it! That's why all of my DIYs thus far have been pretty basic, I'm really just working with the tools I have. But I recently made a little organization box/storage situation for them by repurposing a cardboard box (and is v satisfying to have a spot for them all) and I'd love to show how I did that and what's in it and such in a vlog! Oh! Also bought a "detail knife" thing for a couple dollars that's been convenient. But not a necessity. Like an "x-acto" knife style thing. I think that's it. I don't have much, but I do feel like what I've bought as far as tools has been expensive, in my opinion. People who have all the bells and whistles to build things themselves really seem to invest in their tools. The sticker shock on stuff like that has been wild to me. I keep thinking of that TikTok sound that's like "why buy it for $7 when you could make it yourself with $92 in craft supplies?" Hahaha! So true. Hope that helps!!!
