I just started living by myself as well like a month ago and the thing i struggle w the most is how not to starve since ive never cooked once in my life and back here we dont have many frozen options either (mostly pizzas and nuggets and thats it🥲) so i bid you good luck in this journey and lots of love♥️

I remember my first apartment...it was a dump (lol) and pretty far from my school in Boston but I still loved it plus it was right on the water which was nice side note you know you can cook rice without a rice cooker has many more variables that can affect the outcome but is sometimes easier especially for small quantities

If you ever feel like visiting uptown head to 125th and St. Nick. Theres a place called "Famous Fish Market", a great hole in the wall fried fish and chips location!

Dry everything when heating oil in a pan, water will cause the oil to 'pop' out.

I cook a lot, and for your situation, canola oil is a perfectly acceptable replacement for vegetable oil! In fact, canola has less fat, so it's a tad bit healthier too.

NYC? Milk was pretty cheap. I had to pause the video and go back to see the price again! Good video though. You will get better at cooking for yourself. I see this video is from 9 months ago. How are your cooking skills now? I watched a video you did a while back on learning Korean. I just came across this today. Wishing you good luck!
