Nashville has chosen profit over people a very long time ago. Natives of this city and area literally get pushed out of their own hometowns. Its absurd and fuckin sad! I can no longer afford to rent anywhere by myself within the area ive grown up my entire life. Now its rich people and mostly rich out of towners that live within the "metropolitan area" of davidson county. Mostly people transitioning here from similar cities that have progressed far enough to out price even people who make a good salary/get paid mroe than the average here in TN. The city could not care less about the people that live in it/were born in it and make it what it is, or what appears to be to the people that are migrating here and arent familiar with the way the city used to be/has been for the last hundred years, up until this very moment where its changing for the absolute worst and relentlessly so at that. Its not slow progression towards any other shithole city, its full blown all steam ahead. Money is the only care of the people that "run" this city, people can and have been being forced from their homes because of the costs if everything going up astronomically and the average pay rates are NOT going up accordingly. Nashville is now for rich people and thats it. Yuppie, entitled, well to do, moneys no care kind of people. Pretty fuckin lame, on every level. Especially if a person can even remember ten years ago here. Much less twenty, or thirty, or fifty! These new transplants dont even have a clue all the values and history and the things that made this place what it is today! The people thst build this very city and its buildings/infrstructure, those people cant afford to live within the entirety of davidson fucking county! Its a complete sham of a southeastern city, all values and unseen efforts to create this place get tossed aside for an extra dollar for those rich fucks pockets who "run" the city and its laws/govt. Its all a joke. Life is not what it seems to be here when youre just now experiencing this city and you dont have a reference for what it used to be, even a few short years ago. "Nashville" blows. Life outside this city is WAY better for anyones soul, and their wallets. And dignity/piece of mind. Civilization isnt the only answer to make a "living" or to provide for yourselves as humans.

When they said they wanted to make Nashville the NYC of the south, those over 50 should've voted to get rid of the city planning board. What makes it worse is those of us from Nashville that move to what we consider rural areas, we end up driving up their cost of living and pushing their natives out.
