@@garrett9248 I ended up quitting my job in Abu Dhabi and moving back to the US without a backup plan. I bought a motorcycle and put 8,000 miles on it over the summer and loved every minute of it. When I decided it was time to go back to work, the right door opened at the right time and all is well. God is good 🙏🏼 Thanks for asking.

@@garrett9248 that sounds like an amazing adventure. I wish you safe travels and memories that will last you a lifetime. Message me back when you return and let me know how it went. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to travel to many states because the shipping company kept notifying me that my cargo from Abu Dhabi would be arriving soon so I felt that I needed to stay close to receive it. It turns out that it remained stuck in customs due to the pandemic and literally just received it a couple weeks ago. My goal was to ride from east coast to west coast, but that will have to remain on my bucket list for awhile longer. I still had a perfect summer regardless.

@@BacktoBasics I was doing some reading on the Dutch East India Company, aka VOC, and how rough things got provisioning and it made me wonder how you both kept things going which prompted my question. I was guessing coconut and seafood probably needs a little extra, and not rum LOL! Though every good pirate well tell me to nick off I've got that wrong! But you were talking about Capt Cook and crew, so thought this might have been on your radar. Back to reality, did you travel 3 months and only survive on fish / sea food / with some garlic /crackers / lemon juice/ bread crumbs / coconut / water/ rum / etc or did you have a few other supplys? When you have completed the adventure, could you list up how you planned and executed the trip? That would be awesome! Cheers again for the honesty and fun! Really appreciate what you are doing! If you want to make a noticeable impact on the amount of plastic in the ocean, you need to focus your efforts on 3rd-world countries and educate them. That's where the vast majority of the ocean plastic comes from, unfortunately. Encouraging companies to look for alternative packaging materials is good, but the culture where littering is acceptable, is the main problem.

The plastic is just the worst! It all washes down from Indonesia and Asia. Plastic waste is so depressing to see when I would travel to those countries. Australia is pretty onto it with recycling an cleaning up but when it all washes up from other countries its fighting a loosing battle...there are entire islands in the oceans made up of plastic. Just makes me so sick. Wish it was an illegal material. Then We would have to find alternatives. Everything that is made from plastic can be made from hemp!
