Were living in a pickup truck camper on Big Piney creek. Located in Arkansas, this is one of our national wild and scenic rivers. Kellie's brother meets up with us there. We fished and relaxed by the water at Long Pool recreational area. Set up camp at the campground. For dinner Kellie cooked chicken ceasar wraps.

I knew it. Jonathan seems like the kind of person who'd be cool to run into and hang out with a bit. Problem with fishing where people swim is that the fisherman's line gets hung up. Line breaks. And now there's this multiple treble hooked lure sticking out of a log or rock waiting for someones foot to step onto it. Ouch! I've had skin cancer diagnosed on my ear. Wear a hat! Not just a trucker hat. A hat that covers over your ears. As a born in California native, the Ozarks and oachitas have given me an appreciation of seasons. A few weeks ago those forests were mostly bare limbs. then, as at the flick of a switch solid green 💚 everywhere. California seems to have two seasons -; Wildfire season and 100 year flood season.

You sound like a rookie it's a spinning reel and Jonathan is using a fly reel if it's spring it's an automatic. He and Kellie used a push button known as a spin cast. Throw up stream and bring down stream it looks more natural. Fish rarely go upstream except to escape or catch things. In current they get behind rocks and log to avoid the current and ambush prey swimming or floating by. Sorry forgive I have been at it for 68 yrs and like to share knowledge. Good to see Jonathan again great videos. Also try a 1/16th ounce rooster tail in black, I have caught everything that will hit an artificial on it.

I have a storage bag for my camp stove, same one you guys use. You should get one, they're not that pricey and lots better than a plastic trash bag in the clog. And plenty of extra room in it for a long propane hose if needed. Camp on !

It’s funny how excited Cody gets for a fish bowl guppy he catches. Come up to Sitka Alaska and fish with the big boys. We have to shoot our 200 lb halibuts with a pistol. Fight a 35 lb salmon for a half hour or more. Sport fishing has a whole different meaning up here. We pack heat.

Great to see Jonathan. What a beautiful area! I bought a camper last year and the family are heading down to Denby point campground on the Ouachita from Iowa. First timers. You all really inspired the trip. Bonus we’ll be there for the 4th of July.
