I am a 100% disabled veteran. I have a 2.25% mortgage and I am currently paying 640 Maintenance fee every month. As a condo owner I need to give an extra 40K next year ! I decided to sell my condo this year and relocate to the Philippines.

I’m glad they give you benefits. My stepdad was hurt in the military and they won’t do anything for him. He was in a military hospital for 3 months and they sent him home for 3. They got him well enough to put him back on duty and he left as soon as his time was up. They admitted he was hurt there but still nothing and he’s 68 now and still struggling. But I give it to him he always worked no matter how much pain he was in.

I lived in Saudi Arabia for a decade. I LOVE the floor drains in the kitchens and bathrooms. It makes it so easy to clean floors. You splash water and cleaner, scrub, squeegee, and you’re done. You don’t even have to dry it because it’s so hot and dry it evaporates in minutes. 😂😂😂

The people in countries with wars and food shortages don't have any stress? What about in countries where the government controls your life? In places where you can't live freely as a woman and have many different freedoms taken away, they're always happy? If that's the case then why are people always trying to leave those countries? I wish people would stop spreading this delusion. The whole world is stressful.

Secondly, Egypt 🇪🇬 and Sudan 🇸🇩 used to be one country before they separated! Across the Arab world, the original Arabs are dark-skinned complexion please go an visit upper Egypt ASWAN and you will see your same skin colour. So much destruction has happened in today's society caused from long ago and now people believe that all Arabs are not coloured there is a huge debate on this but knowing history is extremely important. No, trust me, even though there are plenty of Black people in Egypt, the average Black American or Black African would stand out. Most of us are much darker than Nubians and have different features, so they know you aren't local even if you dress in Muslim garb. I had people staring and approaching me all the time to ask where I'm from. I didn't really have any issues with racism, it was actually the opposite. People were very friendly and wanting to engage with me. I lived in Alexandria and the people there were wonderful. Most of the Black travelers who said they dealt with racism and aggressive behavior were in Cairo. I was told that even other Egyptians can't stand Cairenes lol.

I'd love to visit to learn Arabic. So many people of the darkened African continent speak it, and there's great value in the religious aspects of the language, culture, and beauty. I love the script. I took a course once and found how, because I speak, "ebonics," and have been exposed to how to learn languages;... I found how fast I was progressing without awareness. I was so proud of myself, and whenever I used what Arabic I knew, oh, boy, people were impressed. It was like dividing the Red Sea. I was walking on water.

It is good that you are having positive experiences. May you continue to do so. My only criticism would be that it is not correct (and is actually harmful) to state that you get what you put out. I, for one, have experienced racism without putting out negative energy or having any negative expectations of the people that I was around at the time. That way of thinking seeks to hold the "victim" responsible for the actions of others ("well, if you were a more positive thinker, it wouldn't have happened...")

I think that she is saying don't sweat it, don't let it racism bother you. If racism exists, and it does, don't allow it to steer you off course. If you concentrate on your goals, then when racists or negative people in general come around, you will clearly be able to recognize them because you didn't have preconceived notions to begin with. For example, it would be foolish on my part to go into a basketball game and assume that the referees are going to make calls against me because I'm a good player. That negative type of attitude would ruin my entire game. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt. Their true colors will either remain the same or show up eventually. And Allah knows best.

@@bcl5667 Exactly what I said. It's a bubble. It's an enclave of affluence that's far removed from the reality of the majority population. For one thing these enclaves are very westernized. They are removed from a lot of aspects of traditional culture. For example , if a man wears traditional attire he'll be restricted acess to any upscale establishment even if he's wealthy and can afford it. I've seen women cussed out for trying to enter a restauraunt simply because they were wearing headscarfs.

They told me the same thing. They’ll run out of social security money by the time you’re ready to retire. That had my generation in a panic. I’m a boomer, by the way. As long as they want seniors to vote, they’ll find the money. They’ll raise the age of retirement, but that’s it. This doesn’t mean a person shouldn’t save for their future-you may get less money at retirement, but the US will have to collapse before they get rid of the entire program. If that happens, the whole world is in trouble. The headlines are just to get you to read it. Click bait, you call it now. I’ve seen those headlines well over 40 years. I’m retired now but getting less than they used to get.

Yes, I have gotten this in the US parts of Ohio and the people weren't mean they were just ignorant and fascinated with me. They didn't know my hair was soft and wanted to touch it. Ignorance and being ignorant as black folks say are two different things. I believe her experience though. Sometimes living next to people makes it worse. Somehow they think they know you and they only go off the media vs when people only get media they don't know frfr and they are more curious to see what you are about. My car stopped I had two men pushing it before I could get out to see what was going on. We call them the good white folks but seriously as someone who is called Oreo because of my speech and education and lack of experience in inner-city struggle life I do fine with people who are ignorant to who I am vs both sides that assume and want to put me in a box.
