The show which was based on audience poll voted BR Ambedkar as THE GREATEST INDIAN. But can you clarify why the show was given the name "The greatest Indian after Mahatma Gandhi" ? There was never a poll which included Gandhi. So, who decided that he is the greatest indian? I sense insecurity about Gandhi's position here and some kind of strategy to prevent gandhi's image. Why not conduct an open poll and let people decide? Even Ambedkar refused to acknowledge him as Mahatma.

I still remember studying in his autobiography that his wife wanted to keep the jewellery they were gifted at that farewell party for her future daughters in law. But Gandhiji insisted that must be donated to some charitable trust. They had huge disagreement on that. Kasturbha Gandhi was very adamant on this. But eventually she relented and they donated all those gifts. I studied this in my class 10 Telugu. We had to study the autobiography of Gandhiji- that was the only syllabus for that course, along with another small book of poems.

This is what we stress in our RSS Shakas... Learn from the life of the Mahatma. However the one thing we 8 million RSS cadres JUST DO NOT agree is passive and non-violent resistance in the face of wanton aggression from hateful ideologists or cults. Imagine these scenarios and ask yourself some pertinent questions: Would Russia be an independent country today if they had not brutally resisted and pushed back the Nazi invasion of the USSR in 1941, using an astounding amount of violence? Is not what the Ukraine doing today justified in the face of the Russian invasion of their country?
