Thailand's geography is much more strategic than Malaysia. In the past, Thailand survived from Colonisation because it's a buffer state between French Indochina and British Malaya &Burma. Nowadays, Bangkok have a new Bangsue Grand station which is a real centre for regional high-speed train connecting from Southern China, Laos to Malaysia & Singapore and can go to Myanmar, Cambodia and Vietnam, too. KL Central can't really beat this more central and modern one in Bangkok. To sum up, Thailand's strategic location is second to none in this region.

I would like to give you some homework for you about Thailand. The places you should visit more because I didn't see in your video, are Khaoyai, Kanchanaburi, Kho Samed, and Pattaya. These places are all close to Bangkok and have ton of tourist attractions and so much to offer.

Thanks for the tips! I've been to Pattaya and Ratchaburi, much better options IMO. Some people really love living in big cities and no matter how much more balance they'd get by moving to the suburbs or smaller cities/towns, they just won't budge.

Malaysia has better quality of life, cleaner and safer, ease of moving around and interaction. I even like Malaysia food more than Thai. But Malaysia can be quite boring, it lacks the vibes of Bangkok and the fantastic Thai market culture. Thailand is an agricultural country so it has more seafood, fruits, etc. But KL is a pretty modern beautiful city compare to Bangkok. If you are single male, love the night scenes and bar, and now weed, find easy girls, then Thailand is for you. However you may find girls easily in Thailand, but unless you speak Thai, your relationship with the girl is purely sexual, you give her money in exchange for sex. Once the money stops, she will find another farang. You think love....? Dating is also easy in Malaysia if you spend some time, getting to know the locals. You can not find a girlfriend in 3 days in Malaysia. But then you will have more lasting meaningful relationship with educated Malaysian girls. For me I will definitely live in KL and every few months, I will fly to Bangkok for few days or weeks to chill out, then I have the best of both worlds. Both cities are great.
@vassanab4243 Жыл бұрын
Dude you were comparing Thai bar girls with normal educated middle class girls in Malaysia. Do you know that in Thailand there are also normal educated girls, who came from middle class and above, who are not working at night bar? Like it’s weird that you just compare bar girls and normal girls, it’s weird and stereotypes af. like you think all Thai girls working in night bars?
@vassanab4243 Жыл бұрын
I mean if all Thai girl just chase after the farang, in that case by now majority of Thai children should be mix western look and speak English but no, majority of people still are Thai look and still can’t speak English.

Very true when you mentioned about dating to other ethnic groups other than muslim group (very important to the foreigners). Dating muslim is a NO-GO-ZONE (to save your heartache). The Malaysian Chinese are pretty well educated in general, elites in their own field, well to do and most of them spend time educated and living in the western world for a while and pretty exposed and work in the corporate world and successfully (hence this got to do with the quota system in Malaysia if you understand the education class system) and can command few languages professionally well. This group of Chinese Malaysians normally also holding western passport. Hence I can understand when Nomad Elite says they don't need any "upgrade". They don't after your passport and $$ .Similar to the Thai Chinese in Thailand if you can differentiate them (most don't). You don't find them in the bars or massage places. This video is pretty much spot on. I can live in Thailand or Malaysia depends on what sort of quality of life you would like to be surrounded by the people and know where to look for them.

Chinese Malaysians are hardworking and educated. They know what they want.
@edl5320 Жыл бұрын
@NomadElite. I’m curious about your comment that more Thais than Malaysians would think dating a Westerner or foreigner to be an “upgrade”. As an Asian, it is my experience that most Asian families think dating a foreigner, especially westerner, brings embarrassment, even shame, to the family. It takes a very special foreigner a long time and much goodwill and good behaviour to be accepted by an Asian family.

Believe it or not, the fact is most Arabs and also Turkish are likely to visit Thailand more than Malaysia!!
@faisalz88492 жыл бұрын
Do you have data for that or just assume things from images that you see. Before pandemic malaysia had 39mil visitors and even though Malaysia is popular among the Muslims because of halal food which is an important consideration when traveling but a large chunk of visitors are actually Chinese, Singaporeans, Japanese, Koreans and Indonesian. But because these people look similar to us, only the Arabs stand out to look like tourists. Western tourists have to travel further compared to the Asian tourists so it makes sense that the majority of our tourists are Asian.

To date a malay, it is the religious restriction you have to prepare for it. eg you must eat halal food. Or to get married you must convert to islam. Borneo people are more open minded compared to west malaysia. There are christian natives in borneo. Fair skin. Look like chinese but are not.
