Can anyone tell me what it's like to live there cause me and my girlfriend are planning to move to Montreal after college.

I'm from France originally and I'm living in Montréal. The city is really cool with a lot of fun stuff to do, compared to other cities in North America the city has character, people are really nice here. But the jobs that involve talking to day to day people often involve speaking French, ofc if you are going to work in Finance or Banking or other specialized industries don't worry english is the language you need. Oh and I hope you handle cold well because it often goes to -40° celsius !

Oh and also it's the second biggest student city in the world, people are young and dynamic and also ambitious here, the average age here is 29 !

It's an amazing place with tons of culture, I was born and raised in Montreal and I never run out of new things to do here, but if you don't speak French it'll be really hard to get a job, just be warned, you might never get a higher position in non English based companies.

@@olivedraws9594 we did a tonne of research into montreal and found out about work. My french is decent but she doesn't know a word of it and is terrible at learning languages so we have to go for the next best thing which is Ottawa.

@@BoldOne8760 Ottawa is far from the next big things. Maybe the 10th
