If food is your biggest expense I think you should get a portable camping grill for like 20 bucks a four pack of bottles of propane for another 25. Lastly then like 10-20 dollars on pots and pans then cook your own food. Eating out is so expensive and you should try to budget as much as possible to be as efficient with money as you can.

Even cheaper and more efficient is a backpacking stove, like a jetboil, which is incredibly light and takes isobutane. Honestly lots of great videos on meal-prepping for hikers that focuses on cost + nutrition. You may also see if you qualify for SNAP, TANF, or other similar programs. Food banks are a great resource too!

When I was on a road trip to Texas early this March I would eat at costco pretty often because it was cheap. $2 slice of pizza and $1.50 hotdog. That's a $3.50 meal. Also I would buy the costco rotisserie chicken for $5. Each chicken would last like 3 or 4 meals.

I noticed that you were eating restaurant food for at least 3 meals a day, over a year ago. I couldn't understand how you could afford not to have a camping stove. I eventually had to get a stove when I camped in my jeep... after I realizing how much money that I was spending on fast food. I kicked myself for not doing it sooner because I saved a lot of money after getting it...and my cooked meals were delicious and hot.

Great video as always man! It hurts to see you struggling with keeping up with expenses. I know it would be a huge change, but if you sold the car, and just got a cheap apartment with 2-3 roommates, you could reduce almost $1500 from your expenses. With your own place you could spend $200-250 a month on groceries, and reduce eating out to a minimum, and get a job you could bike to in the short term, or edit videos for others. $60 something a night, driving, wear and tear on your car, plus gas costs is not acceptable wages. I hope you find a way out. You have a lot of skills, are a hard worker, and I think you’ll find something that is really rewarding both financially and spiritually

Nice video jake! I would get rid of the overpriced car and buy a reliable used cash car, with low insurance- use a family members address, don't say you live in the car. ATT has a prepaid cell phone service for only $30. Get a small cooler for your car and prepare your own food. If you don't change your spending habits you will have the same issues over and over again. Been through this same thing with renting 2k apartments! It's such a trap❤❤

Also, as someone else mentioned buy a little hot plate cooker or something. Cook your own food. Its an easy fix my friend. The hard part is getting out of a habit. $700 a month eating out....sheeesh. I have been following you off and on since I believe 2019. Your bills are SMALL. The issue is not that you have too many bills or subscriptions. Sure, you should quit the nicotine, but at $100 a month, that isn't even that bad either. Your issue is you enjoy having too much free time to yourself, and that is effecting your ability to make a full income. You need to be working a minimum of 30 hours every single week so you can stay on top of your bills. However, what you really need to do is either work somewhere FULL TIME, or find a way to make a solid continual income with your video skills. You need to earn consistently $550/week AFTER TAXES so you can pay your bills and have money for yourself. You are going to need to earn $800/week or more until your car is paid off if you plan to move into an apartment somewhere and split the rent with someone so you eventually have a stable residence. You have to move on from living in your car at some point, and progress your life forward!

Just a thought, you could switch to something like Visible (owned by Verizon, uses their towers) and drop the price for your phone way lower. I pay $25 a month for unlimited talk, text, and data. I have no affiliation with them. I just like the service for the price, lol. Every little bit counts. As for car insurance, if you could find a way to save up and pay every 6 months instead of monthly, that may help drop your price too. Other than those 2 things, the other bills that you mention sound fairly reasonable. Even the food budget really

But they are just top drawer imo, now. Look awesome, man. But not over-the-top with all kinds of silly crap. Your Vibe - the vibe you give off now as opposed to 3 or 4 years ago is much more stable. Before you seemed shaky... I worried for you. Now? You seem very solid feeling. When things go wrong? You seem to whether them SOO much better. Better than me - that's for sure. Banging Steering Wheel - when I am doordashing? I bang my poor steering wheel about once a night...like crazy. Out of delivery frustration (and life frus. as well, I am sure). Hey there Jake! Good to see that you are well. I suggest that you inquire about getting yourself a sponsored battery bank, solar panel, and a refrigerator. All of these products are much better than just two years ago. And I believe that these items will greatly improve your lifestyle. Certain battery bank would be able to run a small microwave if you have a space for it. Since you are happy as a "gig guy"....maybe consider a position at the Tesla Gigafactory in Austin? There are thousands of different types of opportunities with various shifts. Work a 3/4 day, 12 hour shift, will give you 3/4 days a week for your own creative enterprise. Maybe, with your story telling ability, and editing skills, work with the training department, or internal relations, public relations. You are young, just think about it. Hourly pay will be acceptable. And they probably have shower/gym on site.

I thought somebody donated that car to you. I guess i was wrong. Its an expensive car note. I bought a used 2017 Prius in 2019 for 13k, a good deal. My payment was $200 a month. And, my insurance was around $150 per month. Sorry, you are going through a rough time friend.

I appreciate you not using fowl language in this video. I was comfortable watching to the end of the video.

I just had three stents put in my heart Thursday I am now recuperating in a hotel room. When will I go out in DoorDash again.? I don’t know but I’ve got great friends. That is keeping me above water with my bills. Had the surgery on Thursday and they let me lose on Friday. I was a total mess my goodness but it’s Monday now and I have one more night in a hotel room and then I am driving to Clovis New Mexico to pick my doggy up, that’s being taken care of by her best friend lol I’m glad you’re taping again in six citing to watch it all. I just haven’t Door Dash, and Austin, because it scares me for some reason.
