I love the simple guitar intro. I have been playing guitar professionally for many years. I still tie my fingers in knots with that intro, this is beyond Crimson, the music is much more dense and unpredictable. I bought this album when I was 16. The compositional elements are just out there. I can usually play my way into things, in this situation I would just shut up and wait to be told what to do, love it xxxxx

The King Crimosn influence is very distinct in the intro.

henry cow es la banda que amo por sobre todas las del canterbury rock o prog. Admirable su ética y no venderse al mercado de la música

Henry cow es muy distinto de Canterbury. No es tan psicodélico

This was my first Henry Cow album. At age 17, I didn't know what the hell to make of it. It seemed unduly unnatural, unpleasant, forced and stilted to me. (In fairness to me, War is not the best piece to serve as an introduction to Henry Cow's music--it's great, but not representative.) Now. decades later, I've returned to this with deep, deep appreciation.
