I will be donating my kidney to my 30 year old son. All those people on dialysis, I ask myself, don’t they have family or friends? My son has had 11 people offer their kidney to him, even my 103 year old father, who said, “I suppose they wouldn’t want my old kidney,” not “my body wouldn’t survive the surgery.” I don’t think he even cared about that. One has cancer and doesn’t qualify, one I don’t deem healthy enough, but six of them are in their 20s. My niece is now looking into being an altruistic donor. There are some amazingly good people out there, but we need more. God bless you all.

My 2nd husband donated his kidney to my youngest daughter who has Lupus. He didnt even blink twice before he volunteered since I couldnt donate! Im so very thankful that they are both doing well! I can never repay my husband for saving my daughters life! I can tell you that the recovery for my husband took 6 weeks, so it was expensive because he couldnt work but we had a fundraiser and that helped out alot with his expenses.

I donated to a stranger but never met or heard any word from the recipient at all.
