Thank you for reply and the publication, I'm going to definitely use it. I understand how nutrients are recycled, and C and N are fixed from air, but the other nutrients that are used up for the fruits have to be replenished, added from an outside source, don't they?

I know how mimicking a natural cycle gives benefits in agriculture, the so called ecological services, but when you harvest the fruits/seeds/whatever and sell them, you're exporting elements, that unlike Nitrogen can't be fixed from the air, they have to be added to the soil, or else the the life in ecosystem is gonna lack it more with every new year, cause you know, microorganisms also need P, K, S, Ca and other elements that we export from the soil and build our ever growing biomass of humankind =D

@@sandroshanidze6060 pH is most critical, this can be increased through cover cropping and green manuring without importing Ca. N can be optimised through time, grazing animals, legumes breaks and diverse leys. Unavailable P and K can both be made available through cover cropping and nutrient cycling as above. Many growers focus on the major and secondary elements while a trace element limits growth and yield. You do not have to import x amount of phosphorous every year if you are developing a regenerative system with diverse pastures and appropriate crop rotation. Obviously if a particular element is limiting economic viability or crop health then you can import that element, grow something else or make it more readily available ie tillage radish accumulates Sulphur. The more diversity and life in your soil the less you'll have to import so long as you are not overstocked with too many animals or cropping too large an area too regularly.
