After seeing Living on £1 a day by London Hacks and many others, I thought I should try this and see if I can survive on this budget in this 24 hours challenge where I only have £1 to spend on food for the day.

I really want to try this challenge again without trying to work out any cheeky hacks or tricks to get free food and actually give myself a budget to see what kind of food I can get myself throughout a certain time window. You know what, if this video ever hits 10,000 likes, I’ll do it again. ☺️

There are 25P tins of baked beans you can get from places like Aldi and Netto. There is also like instant cous cous for 50P and their proper meal portions with vegetables and stuff.

Sharky people can only do this in nations where food is very cheap, and their diet consists of mainly rice and wheat. In England, to adjust for price differential, it would make much more sense to do a 4 to 5 pound challenge, and then maybe do it for a week. I would love to see a 25 pound challenge or 30 pound challenge for 7 days.

Also, people who live off that little also might need to buy in bulk. If a 25 pound bag of rice costs 10 dollars, then a family can incorporate that rice into their food for more than a week, which when you divide that by 4 people and 7 days, a belly full of rice is only costing roughly .30 cents per person per day, leaving 2.00 per day of additional nutrients

@@nicholaskraut1704 I know this comment is old, but it seems really pointless. The people who live of the type of money he is talking about live below the breadline. £25 for a week is actually quite easy if you cut out shit you don't need. First thing in this challenge is he was looking to have breakfast. The reality is if someone is living of that much, they aren't having breakfast, they won't have a Subway card to get food etc. which is why these videos are a bit shit. Me and my family used to live of around £20-£25 a month when we did a proper food shop. But adding up buying a loaf of bread and something to go with it here and there, it was most likely £40-£45 a month.
