A bit of change is good, I absolutely agree. In the jungles trees fall, light changes, those who survive have to adapt repeatedly. However I can't believe how well that maranta did! I do believe I'm going to try that on one of mine next spring. Thanks for the video and say hello to Brad for me 😸

Love your space. It is just gorgeous . HA I also loe to move my furniture around just to feel a new fresh look. Used to drive my husband crazy. I WAS forbidden to move his recliner, TV and bed. Everything else was fair game. Sometimes he would go to bed in the evening and wake up to a newly arranged living room. After he died I gave theTV away his poor old recliner had to go to the dump. Bed isstill in the same spot but all other areas are now filled with plants. That dan TV was takingup prime plant spacein a perfect light window.

Been absolutely LOVING your videos 🥰 love the ‘no nonsense’ but super practical approach you take towards your plants. You keep it to science and facts which I love! I’ve had a few questions I’ve been unable to find in your videos so far (maybe they’re there and I’ve missed it!) Tiny baby plants like seedlings - would you be able to show us what medium you’d recommend for these? Also, how do you go about transferring any store bought plants from soil or worse, peat moss mixes to your soilless aroid mix? Especially small ones with tiny, fragile root systems? I have a baby Florida that I’d love to get into a more suitable soil (currently in a heavy, peat style soil that is asking for root rot) but that stuff can be difficult to remove and obviously the roots are tiny and fragile so not able to ‘hose them off’. I wouldn’t want to keep them in the original root ball either because then id still have a very wet root ball and would defeat the purpose. Would love to know how you get around these two things! Thank you for sharing all your knowledge 🥰 Oh and I love Brad 🧡🤍
@sydneyplantguy
@sydneyplantguy Жыл бұрын
Thanks :) i don’t really do much to ‘transition’ them. I clean as much of the existing medium off of the roots and then pop it in aroid mix. You could chuck it in water for a week or two before putting it in aroid mix but didn’t find that to be needed. I use the same aroid mix for all my plants but if theybare very small i just leave the huge pieces of bark out
