the way dog babes jump into the house and then hiding cozy under neath the cover❤❤❤ i live with two large dogs they pretty much the same always following me and ejoying the shared space with us humans❤❤ it is a bliss. they never shout at you never try to control you, always happy, and only sad when you forget to manage your emotions and balance yourself. they are literally god walking besides us every day reminding us how worry free we should be like them. ❤

I’m just gonna say this, the fact that all of these camera angles that he puts into the recording at the very beginning of the video and I haven’t even watched that far in he had to go back and forth, placing that camera repetitively to get those shots so let’s just give a round of applause. He literally went back and forth..

@@leavingbabylonfamily little bit of snow north in the mountains, but we are further south now. It’s very cold but clear. Heading back up to Kyoto then Tokyo in the next few days. We love travel in winter because we can rug up and stay warm. Hate being sweaty 😅. 🌸🌸🌸🏯

That sure looks cold, I hope you have plans for that enamel bath for warming it up in the future. I also see that you've been busy with the garden as well, I'm surprised at how nice the soil looks dug over. I thought it would have been more rocky, being close to the water is going to be a great asset for growing.👍

Yeah the soil looks pretty good when it's wet, but 1 week with some sun and it looks very different, but yes I'm very happy there isn't much rocks in the soil to..

No, what people wish for is this as a vacation to sometimes escape the perceived "modern complicated world" and their daily routine, especially work. Escapism. Most people wouldn't want to give up electricity, the internet and other modern conveniences. This simple lifestyle is glorified just like vanlife, buslife, tiny houses and others. All of these are only suitable for very specific people and for others only from time to time. It's nice and relaxing to watch and yeah, it can feel great to build something yourself. But don't fool yourself into thinking a life like this isn't harsh in every way imaginable.

Love cooking over the open fire, here in South Africa it's called a braai, and it's a regular weekend activity for most. Great to see the progress, I noticed the tent came down as well. Have you got any plans for your floor?

What type wood did you use for your walls, Shou sugi ban is good with cedar , pine, oak and some other that is native to finland and the russia

Of course I'm just picking at nits, however, a flint and steel would be an upgrade from a lighter, and I can only encourage you to consider no-dig gardening. Turning over soil is devastating to the microbiota. I did 9 summers on fire towers. Nothing tops being immersed in nature. peace out.

Hi thanks for tge feedback, Don't worry, I am all about no dig. But if you want to start on ground that has been compacted by horses and cars and tractors for years, then I would advise to do a small dig the first year,(unless you have few years patience before you get descent crops)also the soil here and soil structure is kinda worthless, there isn't much life in it. I will start mulching and making compost soon, building up life in the soil...
