This week we head underground in the Welsh mountains of the Llŷn Peninsular. Staying in a Viking Longhouse and exploring the beauty of North Wales.
We are Tom & Iz. For the last three years we have been living and traveling in our tiny home on wheels, La Bamba, a self converted transit van. Now we are looking at setting some roots (shallow ones for now) and so have decided to embark on this new series trying to find the UK's best weekend breaks.
This week we enjoy life in a Viking Longhouse ( www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/834063... ) eating sushi in the company of a wood fire and a cat. The next day we wake up to fresh snow and decide to head for the hills. We climb the spectacular peaks of the Llŷn Peninsular and find the remains of an amazing Iron Age hill fort called The Town of the Giants. We return to the longhouse and Isabel cooks up a Butternut Squash and Red Bean Stew ( www.forksoverknives.com/recip... ).
I hope you all enjoy, we have really been enjoying filming this new series and i hope it comes across. After what was the most challenging hike we have ever done, it feels good to be back on the road together.
