I have a 2020 GR Supra as well and I totally agree with you on the point when u think of switching to something else but you realized that this car is 100% perfect given its price and usability. its crazy but hard to beat with all aspects of a everyday sports car considered.

Had mine for nearly a year now and agree with everything you said. Decat downpipe and remap does help with making it feel a bit less refined and a bit more fun, but the main thing that would help it be more fun for me is a manual gearbox. You got used to the twitchy steering? I haven't, but maybe cos I don't drive it that often

@@realJJJustin That's what I've been hearing from a few people but I can't agree or disagree with ya because I'm not educated on where all the components from this vehicle besides the engine are from. And I'm not sure wether they are made and assembled by Toyota or by BMW and then just badged as a Toyota.

This is the most honest vid about the supra! True a lot of BMW is in it, but like you say it. It is a funny sport car, it is designd to go fast and safe true corners, but the gt86 feels more fun to drive. Some mapping donwpipes intake and intercooler do a lot to this little Supra

Pure800 turbos is your solution to top end power. Its basically a stock housing turbo with upgraded internals to allow more boost. Plus it still spools quickly so you won't be missing the low end torque.

No ones ignoring previous gen Supras either. Mk3's and Mk2's have had a spike in sales and rebuild projects in recent times. Mostly people with money that were disappointed with the BMW rebadge job, are getting themselves previous ones.

I was waiting with a deposit after I saw the FT-1 concept, finally a new Supra I could get and be the first owner. I kept my money and have no intention to like the piece of crap they rebadged, no matter how much some stranger on the internet tells me it's "unhealthy" based on nothing at all. I'm 13 and when I was 6 my dad bought me a 1980 mk1 Ford Fiesta and we haven't finished restoring it but we can't do much more ourselves because the body work needs to be done. It's in overall good condition but the left rear arch needs to be replaced and so does the rear bumper. The underside is also in quite good condition. The engine needs to be rebuilt cos even tho it only has 40 hp its maxing out at 22 mph. 😂😂. We will paint it le mans green as well because it looks amazing on a fiesta.

I could understand not wanting to put a downpipe or any other intensive mods on it. Especially it being a new car and everything. If I had one, I'd leave it as is aside from exhaust and a K&N or other free-flowing air filter in it (although I'm sure the factory one probably better air flow than you would think)
