I miss my cat Molly so much. She passed away a month ago. I could sit at my computer playing wow and she lay in my lap all day. When she had kittens she wanted to sit in my lap. Cats are the most amazing little critters.

When Cole doesnt get fed, he becomes all smoochy and hopes to be fed. If i dont feed my cat, he gives me stink face until i do. He stares me down and reminds me i am a minute late for his feed time

I can relate on so many levels. Brought tears to my eyes when you said "I love this cat". It's so obvious, but actually hearing you say the words made it so much more meaningful. Off I go to spend time with my own fur babies.

One of mine LOVES straws. He figured out that he could get the straws out of our cups without spilling by slowly inching it up.

I like the vlog! My cat was never a lap cat either, but he suddenly started about 2 years ago at the age of 8. I can't keep him off of me now.

Awwwww I loved this! I'm sure most cat people go through that whole, "cat on my lap but I have to pee! What to do!" dilemma. That was very sweet that you had a special heated seat just for him. It was strange to see Cole grooming you. Usually, we just see Marmalade playing hair stylist.

Hi Chris First thanks for including the purring from Cole. It's great to hear that!!! It's always tough taking your pet to the vet IMO. I always hated doing it but, it needed to be done. Thanks sooooo very much for including us in your days with Cole & Marmalade. I really enjoy seeing the two of them. Got my cats use to me brushing their teeth since they were kits, now they look forward to it every Sunday. Also they are use to baths. Don't love the baths, but they tolerate it... just about!

My Midnight (pictured to the left) has a mobile van that does all his stuff right in our driveway. No cramming him into a cat carrier or having to deal with the dreadful ride. Our vet, Dr. Hawkins has a mobile van where they can even do surgery, x-rays, teeth cleaning, sonagrams, etc. all right in the van. When Midnight has to have his shots, she simply comes right into our living room and does his shots right there. So little stress for the cat.

Nice the way you got Marmalade off your lap.Moving a sleeping cat is best done with lots of praise,kisses and petting to sooth the transition or else their feelings are likely to be confused or hurt.

Love LOVE love the relationship you have with Cole - so so sweet!

When I was a child and had to go to the hospital they sent my parents away and I only saw them again on the rare visiting hour and when they finally took me home - and remember how better things would have been if I had them there. When I had a child things had changed and hospitals allowed parents to be with a child 7/24 and only separated the child from the parent on rare occasions and usually only after a child was unconscious. Having a parent/loved one there as support and reassurance has made things better for both child and parent and children do better when parents are there for support. I always thought that the most cutting edge Vet hospital plan that I could think of would follow the same sort of policy for animals too. Instead of whisking animals away from pet parents and taking them behind closed doors, dumping them all alone in a strange place, in a cold kennel with weird lights and sounds and faces they don't know or have rarely seen before they would let the pet parent be there with the animal during procedures like xray/ultrasound/lab work and allow them to be there until anesthesia was induced and having them there while the pet woke up, even letting the pet parent visit the kennel/in the kennel area as much as possible and be part of the hands on care the pet receives. I am sure we won't see this any time soon as it would mean a good bit of change including how facilities are set up but I am sure that doing so would go far to helping pets do much better with procedures and vet care and relieve stress on an animal. Due to my training, and the relationship I have with our current vet, this is how my current pets are cared for, now - instead of me being sent to a waiting room or home I am there to hold a paw and be reassuring through pretty much everything while they are awake. I still have pets that are not crazy about going to the vet but since their experience is that they have never felt "abandoned" at the vets they don't show the level of stress /upset that some of the pets that. One of them has had chronic medical problems and has done so much better with care since we started making sure that she was almost always accompanied when at the vet. She has done better with treatments, procedures, surgery - recovered faster, been much more relaxed and been a much more cooperative patient.

Cole looks just like my Marcus. Chris, I'm the same way when my cats have a procedure. The whole time I just want them back home. None of mine have ever had a problem with anesthesia, even when they're senior. Glad Cole is back home!

He reminds me of a cleric with his white collar. I always think of a priest when he is on his harness, because it has that white spot on the neck area. Thank you for these videos. I had to move away from home for work and left my furbabies with my mom. Seeing Cole reminds me of my furry black cat Peanut and makes me feel better.

I understand the anxiety about having your kitty under anesthesia...kitty Ziva recently had to have her spleen removed + biopsy of liver/intestines/lymph nodes. My gracious vet allowed to work in an unused office so I could be as close as possible [in case the worst happened]. Result...no cancer anywhere!!!!!!!!! yea, that is the backstory. cancer worry. Love your commitment and love of Cole and Marmalade.

Rocco and Misty...any time I've had to leave one of my cats at the vet it has just filled me with guilt and anxiety! But it's good to get these things out of the way. I can relate! Twelve years ago, I took my fur baby Bogey in for her first ever teeth cleaning. When I called that afternoon to see if she was ready to be picked up, the worst news ever. She had thrown a blood clot during the procedure and they couldn't save her. I was devastated. I knew I would get another cat in time, but I figured I would wait until after a vacation I had coming up (about 5 or 6 months down the road). I lasted 2 weeks. I went to the local shelter and got a kitten (runt of the litter and black), and an adult with the cutest little gray patch by her nose. These 12 years later, Jesper & Calley are going strong. These little critters are family and I love them dearly!

Not spoiled just LOVED A LOT.
