Big THANK YOU for picking up trash left behind by others. My wife and I take a couple of garbage bags with us everywhere, even when we walk along the beach near where we live and make a habit of collecting and properly disposing garbage. Hope you can inspire others not to litter and leave nothing behind your campsite, thank you again.

Good day, great video. I am from South Africa and so is Alu-Cab, the word Khaya is Zulu for house or home. It is great to see you enjoy the camper.

And that’s how you BE RESPONSIBLE, People! That’s how it’s done throughout the entire video! I commend you Sir on your fantastic ethics, professionalism and the fact you this is the very best and only 1st person perspective review of any product I ever seen on KZfaq!!!! Seriously, you sold it and demonstrated what it actually is like living in that badass camper and camping remotely in the back country of the US! Above and Beyond my review expectations, please keep doing these types of reviews, captivating!

I did the same trip from Ouray to Lake City on my XR400 this summer. There is some off road skill required with a camper. I am impressed with your skill. I am more impressed that you stopped to pick up trash. It really tells the story how off roaders are true environmentalists and how we love the beauty of the out doors.

I love both parts of the trip! I’m so happy to see likeminded gents. Number one rule for my passengers and I, carry out what you pack in. Leave no trace! You went above and beyond! Hats off to you and many safe journeys to come!

As a college student I went on a volunteer week with the school to Frakes Kentucky. We went to see a large waterfall in the area and at the base there was a ten foot deep 100 foot (at least) long pile of garbage that washed in after high water. The guide told us that they did not have a good waste management system and that many people just dump their garbage over the cliffs and when the water gets high it washes down. Sad. That was in 1996-97ish. I hope things have improved.
@ok4wd6 ай бұрын
Wow, yeah, that’s very sad. Some people are just clueless.

This was SO enjoyable. Gave me the same "i need to get out and see this!" feeling as others video but the pace and shots were MUCH more relaxed which is more in tune to the pace of such solo trips. Absolutely love it. Please make more.

I've got a couple years before retirement, keep telling the wifey we're gonna go see stuff... ALL THE STUFF!!!.... and just like in CrummyCalifornia.. no matter where ya go, people leave their dirty sh#t behind for others to pick up. Why can't people just be respectful... great video!! Alu-Cab seems to be the way to go

In my camping truck, I always have several pairs of work gloves and garbage bags for cleaning up camp sites. One of the pass times for me, while at camp, is to cut down all the ropes that people leave on trees. Such an eye sore and it’s still trash.

Trashy sites are always disappointing. A good opportunity to do a little good will work for the next visitor. Thank you!

On top of the Alu-Cab, is that a solar panel to charge the Alu-Cab's separate 12v power system? Was it configured with more than 1 battery or was it configured with like Solar Generator like inergytek's Kodiak or Goal Zero Yeti 3000?
@tortillawingtv21755 жыл бұрын
Question, can two persons sleep inside the camper say if you are camping in really cold weather? Love this camper was thinking about getting small trailer to travel on with my Tacoma but this one just sold me for 13k
@surfearth12 жыл бұрын
Do you find you like the “raised gate” over a tailgate or tire mount with swing arm? The lack of outside cooking may be a deterrent for that setup. I’m considering an Alu Cab for my Tundra and I’m trying to figure out the best option.
@ok4wd6 ай бұрын
The approach to enter the vehicle feels much more natural and the door provides some quick shelter in rain. Yes, lack of table space on the door is a bummer but with the Khaya, there’s more room to just cook inside.

@krasnaludek2985 жыл бұрын
Like the camper; just not a fan of Asian trucks. The Ford F-150 yields more cargo, better towing, similar mileage, nicer interior, & is an all-around better truck than the underpowered Tacoma. To each their own, but I prefer American trucks & quality these days is a complete wash ... comes down to upkeep.
