Babies need a healthy and sane mother. If pumping milk was too much, it stressed you out, and it stressed the babies. Formula is a win-win in this situation. And they got the first milk, it's the most important one.

Right. I don’t get the trope in shows that if you can’t breastfeed you’re a bad mom who can’t bond with her baby. Personally, it sounds like child abuse if you have a starving baby and won’t give it formula because youre insistent on breastfeeding. It’s like saying you’re only a good parent if you can provide a boob.

​@@oscar17891i am sure at that time they would complain alot too to whoever would listen. Its just that when we are done with something and look back on it many years later we only remember the good parts and the bad ones also seem pretty harmless and funny.

I think Mitch understands her best out of everyone in the family. Look at the scene where they buy the Christmas tree together. They should’ve had many more scenes together.

@@Tontoquienloleation The show never really focuses on Jay's relationship with his grandchildren which is a shame. We can tell subtly that he lets them do as they want as long as they respect his rules but we rarely see any emotional moments with them

It transfers antibodies from the mother to the child for about 6 months, protecting them from infections and helping their immune system develop. Because of this, breastfed babies statistically have fewer infections. There are necessary vitamins and nutrients that arent in formula milk that help with brain development, gut development, nervous system development. Obviously when formula milk was invented it was an industry that needed consumers. It also made it easier for working mothers to be away from their babies but that doesnt necessarily mean it was good for the babies. So while they showed Haley's parenting book to be a sham, its also entirely possible she mixed up some of the information being sleep deprived. For example, you are supposed to keep nuts from touching babies to prevent triggering allergies, something hospital professionals and doctors will also tell you.

yes absolutely. she was the middle-child and absolutely ignored throughout.

@@seanmedvitz9056 They cared about her, but they always put Hailey and Luke first. Alex was so self sufficient that she got ignored, they even said it. They run to save Hailey whenever she needs it, even though she brings her problems on herself. It took Alex working herself in to a breakdown before they realized how much pressure she was under.

It's dangerous for babies this young to sleep together or have anything in their crib except a fitted sheet because of the danger of suffocation if the baby is unable to move away from something or someone covering their mouth.

Well getting pregnant is a conscious choice one makes knowing completely what they are in for , and I guess it's an easy way out for some women when they have no clue about their career whatsoever. Getting into a university is ofcourse much tougher
