If there are two concepts that perfectly sum up tiny house living for me, it’s freedom and resilience. The freedom to live a life of your choosing, liberating greater resources for life through choosing to live in a smaller, more manageable home with lower overheads. This in turn leads to resilience and greater ability to weather storms when they come our way, whatever form those storms may take.
Nilamani’s tiny house is a perfect example of this, executed with a tremendous amount of style. This is her dream, forever tiny house and it shows. The design is exceptional, accentuated through the way she has beautifully decorated her home.

This tiny house felt like a HOUSE. It just kept going! I assumed she must sleep in one of the lounge type areas, but no! There was yet another room- the bedroom loft, which didn't feel like a loft at all since there was so much standing room. Her sense of decor is stunning. The house could be in a parade of homes to show what the best of the best looks like!

I don't know how Nilamani has managed to have so many beautiful items in her home and have it look so spacious. Clearly stands out from other tiny homes. Nilamani has done a beautiful job of designing a home that works for her. I do love that you walk right into the kitchen, and the fact that her kitchen island is on wheels. It feels spacious, yet cozy, and light, bright and airy. And those views. Wow. Your channel is enough to make anybody want to live in New Zealand!

Wow. This is absolute perfection. Sometimes tiny house design gets so complicated. She designed her home to be simply and beautifully laid out. This is the first tiny home I've seen that I feel I could move right into and not change a thing. Gorgeous. I want this home! Plenty of head room in all rooms, a bed you can comfortably walk around, bathroom that gives privacy, laundry, plenty of windows, room for a big comfy couch, open space so you dont feel cramped, even plenty of closet space that you can use for clothing or other stuff. Absolutely LOVE this.

This layout is definitely one of my favorites. This is exactly why I like to see diverse backgrounds being presented - from empty nesters, to young couples with kids, to younger and older singles etc. This is also why I prefer to see "lived in" tiny homes vs homes that have been created for Airbnb. I like to hear what it's like to live in the space, and what the homeowner would have done differently, if anything. I also like to hear what made them make the choices they did - the method to the madness lol! This is going down as one of my favorites.

This actually IS a home with decent 360sqft downstairs + 240sqft upstairs with separate rooms!! Just when your viewers have decided their most favourite one, you had to come up with this marvelous one! The thoughtful old-fashioned separation of rooms with normal headroom, separation of bathroom and toilet with bonus point - far away from the kitchen, safe stairs and variety of passages all of it makes a real house and not just a modern tiny house on wheels! This is THE BEST and BRILLIANT design of a tiny house. Not only it works for a single person or a couple, but it will also work for a young family with kids too! So many separate zones to the house, actual private rooms and a kitchen with extended patio in the front! what else could anyone want! Bryce and Rasa your technique of filming and conducting a visit can't be appreciated enough. The seamless views of the layout and soft gentle uninterrupted dialogues are equally best features of your channel along with the actual content. 😍😍

For me it’s one of the nicest design that I have seen! I think what brings it across more is her furniture doesn’t seem like the regular boxed sofas, it looks like a regular house side even though it’s a tiny. I really appreciate how everything is organized. Very easy to function the bathroom the forethought she put in to putting the bathroom away from the kitchen. Yeah I’m really impressed with the design.

I love the Layout. The seperate spaces are one thing i often miss in tiny houses, but this design is really well done and doesn't seem to feel even claustrophobic. So nice and calming.

Lots of things I love about this place. The 10-foot width makes for a much more homey, more flexible, less tunnel-like layout; the kitchen in the middle w/island makes so much sense to me; the sitting room & yoga room are very hospitable; incorporation of selected treasured furniture is a serious upgrade from dull generic modern white pieces with storage built into the seats; her art objects are gorgeous & personal; lots of storage, & the standup walkway is a nice touch. Fantastic job!

Such a great design! The bedroom is so cool, she can stand in there, no crawling or bending and it has a door too. There is ample space for storage and for guests as well. The Lord Ganesh statue, OM symbol made me like it even more. Outdoor space and kitchen are also very beautiful. Overall a very beautiful cozy space. And not to forget the parking spot, it is just straight out of some wallpaper, love it💚

I like the stairs. Most of them are some sort of ladder, hers is proper and study looking. A door to the loft bedroom space is something you don't often see. This is one of the more thoughtful tiny homes I have seen and I hope Nilamani has years' of enjoyment.

New Zealand (and Australia) went through an awful time with those coercive 'No jab, No job' mandates a couple of years ago. So many people were adversely affected which was deeply saddening. I completely empathize with Nilamani as I also lost 3 separate jobs plus my tiny home in NZ due to those stupid mandates. I had to return to the UK as a result of it all. My dream is to return to beautiful New Zealand one day and live in my own tiny home as the rules for tiny homes are very different here in the UK and I miss NZ terribly. Nilamani has a really lovely tiny house which she made happen through her mandate adversity and her gratitude and joy really shines through! 😍 Do what lights you up folks and whatever curve balls life throws at you just remember to keep Calm and Sparkle On! ✨🤩✨🙏💖

I grew up in the BOP, it's a beautiful part of NZ. I'm sorry that this lovely lady was mandated out of her job, how stressful! Glad that she has been able to find work again. Love this tiny house :)

I have seen so many tiny homes now but this one I would definitely like to live in. It’s spacious enough but compact, it’s open and light, the parking spot is perfect. I would add the solar system though but understand that it’s costly. To see that the tiny houses are being built so professionally now is great.

When Nilamani said "this is my forever home" I was a little emotional. The level of design, the style of the interior is absolutely outstanding. I’ve been searching for this floor plan on YT for days & finally found it! I’ve seen similar on FB shorts but it was too quick & could only find YT videos with the version where the kitchen is at the end & a sofa in the middle, which I really don’t like. I want a really cosy lounge where she has hers & love the kitchen where it is. Also love the separated toilet. I would decorate the lounge very differently & have an office where her meditation room is, but that’s all I’d change. The bedroom with proper cupboards & standing is a must. This is by far the best layout I’ve seen, after viewing probably 100 tiny homes! If I could ever find land to purchase near a town, I’m buying this!!!! 🥰😍🥰

Welp, that's me tearing up the design plans I created last night and starting all over, again! What an incredible layout, design, style, practicality...everything! The separate lounge, the kitchen and bathroom away from each other, the full-height (for her and therefore me - I'm a hobbit) space in the two upper rooms, the fold-back bedroom door, the storage, the laundry space. Just beautiful. 🥰

What a stunning bit of countryside it will be hard to give up that spot...let the family come to her :) Loved that highbacked chair upstairs, the floral painting or wall paper in the bathroom and her cute little dog. To tell the truth I love it all.. but wow isn't it big for a Tiny Home? looks to be a lot for one person but space is paramount with her lifestyle.. also at the top end of the budget to what most could afford.. not sure how NZ $ equates to AU.. all in all a lovely video, thanks Rasa for the great aerial shots too.... cheers rom WA
