In this weeks episode we visit an incredible DIY-built, off-grid tiny home in Wales which has almost entirely been constructed using reclaimed materials. From windows rescued from a skip to beautiful fallen timber found on country walks, each and every item in this incredible tiny home has a story to tell.
Amie and Tom made the decision to build a tiny house, craving a simpler life with a lower impact on the earth. Their off-the-grid home is designed to be light on the land, where they also grow much of their own food.
Completely off the grid, this home generates it’s own solar power, is connected to bore water and has an especially clever grey-water system, inspired by one of our previous videos which can be viewed here: • Simple Permaculture-Ba...
This beautifully built tiny house stands as a strong testament to what amazing things can be constructed using things that other people consider to be waste.
We hope you enjoy the full tour of this amazing tiny house!

We hope you enjoy this weeks episode! This is such a beautiful home and it really goes to show what can be accomplished with reclaimed materials, giving new life to something which would otherwise just be discarded! Such a great build and Aime and Tom should be very proud of what they have accomplished here. How cool is their forest school too?! If only that was around when I was a kid! I also want to take this chance to say a huge thanks to BetterHelp, this episodes sponsor. I'm really enjoying your series on this part of the ocean. I leave in Europe and I'm glad to see projects from this region. I'm building my own tiny house and I so relate with "you have to figure out this on your own", but it's so worth it. All the best to both of you.

Cheerio Bryce & Rasa No matter what part of the world you're in, you always bring the most cool builds from that region. This is no exception. I adore what Aime & Tom did with their budget by using reclaimed & free materials. They proved once again, that with creativity, patience, and perseverance, you can build a home that looks exquisite. No one would ever guess how inexpensive it actually was. That tiny little farmhouse sink in the bath is so adorable while still being so functional. I could see that being the perfect size for a baby bath 🛀. And speaking of bath tub, can we talk about how stinkin' cute the bath is for Aime? I was also smitten by the lovely colors they used for everything. How cool was it that there were enough reclaimed tiles to do the projects they needed it for. Looks like the universe 🌌 did a great deal of conspiring to get them in the right place at the right time for each component needed to make their home BE a home, with a unique character and charm, that is equal to theair own uniqueness and charm. Bravo, and wishing all of you the best. Namaste ❤❤🙏

In some episodes the tiny house looks squeaky clean and sort of lifeless, cold, straight line perfection. This one does look like a home (and a cosy one too). The DIY/reclaimed materials projects have something extra, they look, and I guess feel, lived in from the get go. One of the most charming ones I've seen anywhere, good job!

I think that's true of all the UK tiny homes. They all have a level of charm and creativity that you don't find in all the box builds. Also, so many quirky windows and shapes! The round grain silo home, the 21 year old's tiny trailer home with the DIY round window, and this home with a round window too - reminds me of my parents' UK home with a round window

I agree I live in the UK and unless you have a mobile home then it’s a struggle, I would love to have a piece of land and a tiny home on it that’s my dream and I am in my 50s but watching these videos makes me realise your not too old to do this. We stayed in an annex on a piece of land surrounded by countryside in Norfolk this year and it was bliss, to wake up to the sounds of nature and no light pollution or boxed in by other houses is def my dream. Hopefully one day

I like this house model, it is a typical rural house on stilts but has a luxurious feel and the shape of the house windows, I like the transparent terrace roof with sturdy wooden ribs. The wood color of this house looks original, giving the impression of an original country house. I like the luxurious feel of the house with modern items and objects to support daily activities in the house.

I really resonated when she said the space wasn't the problem..... everything has to come from you. The help isn't there. I love living tiny, but it can be very isolating when looking for help to fix something. Talking about insecurity was really interesting. Living tiny can feel uncertain, but then you realize that renters feel the same way too, even taurine home owners. It's not just a tiny house thing.

Beautiful! Bravo! And how wonderful that you are teaching, or rather making an opening to connect with Nature and oneself, forest school! My four children all attended a weekly wilderness program all their growing up and now are often teachers to that and other schools. It was a huge part of who they have become in life. I am thrilled that people in Wales will have the same opportunity. Debris shelters, bow drill fires, tracking, sit spot, and so much more. I think Wales is doing well in the world! One of my favorite channels to watch is Steven Young Horsemanship. He goes around to so many places to help people and horses solve issues in a way that is grounded in respect for the people and the horses, a true model of harmony in life, as the forestry school is also as a place to learn such inner and outer respect

I’m not the first person to mention this and I certainly won’t be the last but there are hundreds upon hundreds of reported incidents of betterhelp 1) selling user information 2) actively exploiting their userbase, especially queer users and 3) having non-licensed therapists in their system, which is illegal. Lovely to see a tiny house so close to home, and even more exciting to hear of the possibility of a tiny house builder setting up in Wales. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us - it's beautiful.

We are currently building a mini-house, not a tiny house, and are often in despair. The fact that you have also talked about the uncertainties and challenges you have had to deal with gives us courage and hope that we will be able to overcome them. Thank you for showing yourselves. Many greetings from Germany
