The spool thing: I'm pretty sure that's a bookend. The scrap paper tree: yes! We made those as kids...also took old books folded the pages to a point, and made a tree of them too! God bless

My son thinks that the wood spool that you used with the white trees I s part of a book end. There would have been another piece that would slide on the "prongs". Sounds logical to me. Lovely crafts. You truly have a gift from God in your talent.

We traditionally put up our decorations the weekend immediately after Thanksgiving. We share Thanksgiving with extended family and friends then have a "second" private Thanksgiving that is just us and our daughter and her husband usually on Saturday and we put up our trees. We lost our son in 2012 so our tree decorating is full of both laughter and tears because our biggest main family tree is a hedge podge of ornaments made by the kids over the years along with ornaments I've tried to get or make for each family member that represents what was important to them that year. 😊

Hi, Lisa! Love your projects! So far I’ve only used 2-ply paper napkins, but so glad for the tip not to use 3-ply! Have a tip for you when your measuring/marking with your square. Make one measurement mark then put your square at that measurement mark with the square right against the board, then mark your line. No need to measure a second mark for each cut. Comes out straight every time. Saves a little time. 😊
