Jorge Rosado is the vocalist of Merauder, a band from Brooklyn NY that formed in 1990. Well known within the New York Hardcore scene, Merauder's lyrics speak on political issues, the finite nature of life, violence and problems in the modern world we live in. Jorge grew up in Brooklyn when it was one of the more dangerous areas of NY, he speaks on being the target in his neighborhood due to his appearance, his daily routine to keep peace of mind, his interest in Martial arts and fitness, gangs, getting out of the hood, and more.

Huge respect to Jorge for being open and vulnerable when talking about his dad that takes courage. Also he is one of the best Hardcore vocalist of all time in my opinion!

He mad cool and approachable.I seen him hanging around at a show before they were going on stage i just went and introduced myself, we kicked it a good half hr. Chopping it up about all kinds of shit like we been friends for yrs.

The thing that i like of the media is that you can listen the stories about the people you follow from long time ago , i was born in 92 in chile and we had some technology but it was just starting in the 2000 , i barely could know something about the musicians you liked in my country those days and now i know a lot about the legends , like jorge or cro-mags or a lot of different kind of styles of music i like , i love that man it is fucking interesting and the music has a lot of more sense now that i can see interviews like this one and i like the music even more now .

@@chuckydall9250 life is not a rather this or rather that thing. And success can be measured in many ways. Not to mention, he never claimed to be successful, but you know what? I was born in Eastern Europe and Merauder's music and influence found it's way to my country, to me; from the strength I and many other guys took from it alone makes it valuable. It influenced whole genres of music, whether they recognize it or not. Even bands singing about nothing and meet a 6 figure payment at the end of the month. In the XXI. Century if a 50er guy is passionate, kind and allows himself to be vulnerable when talking about his personal life, that's more success in my eyes than the meaningless shit we became to call success.
