Does your OT do brushing with her? That helped Sophie with sensory processing when she was younger. Also a weighted vest helped.

No she hasn't done that. But that is a good idea. Naomi would so scream though.

@@LivingWithEve Sophie disliked it at first but it helped her regulate herself. She would do it at the beginning of therapy sessions.

She actually does really well with going to sleep. The biggest thing that we did was take away all of her naps and make sure she doesn't sleep in. We also keep her super busy during the day.

Hi, I was wondering, how long do you let your daughter watch youtube like the cocomelon ? I'm having so much trouble getting my son away from the TV. He doesn't want to really sit and learn things with me. Please help, thank you for any advice.

Not much. Maybe 30 minutes on average. That stuff is so addictive, too. I honestly would just shut it off and redirect him. Pull out a toy, coloring, ect..

Ma'am mybabyboy is also having down syndrome last mont I blessed with a baby boy ..but now I am very worried about his future life...can you tell me that are they normal o they have some mental disorder..I will be very helpful if I can connect with you through facebook or Instagram..

Yes, they have mental delays, yes they have physical delays and needs. But they are full of personality, super friendly and easy to talk to. You do have to work with them but there are so many amazing stories of People with Down Syndrome doing awesome things. Treat him like you treat any child, just understand that you will need to help him with daily activities. What they lack in development they will make up with their bright and lovable personality. It's normal to be concerned for their future but really try to take it one day at a time.
