So true hey!? I'm testing the waters. Some girl I met online and went on a date with sent me this book a few days ago. I just got it, and wanted to see what Liz is about. These interviews and interviewees made me quite sick. I'm sure Liz means well to bridge the gap towards men, but is she just pigeon holing men into her prescription of what masculinity should be? Really? "One of these guys says masculinity is the root of evil, damn near?" That is the simpiest shit I've ever heard. The fact that she doesn't even challenge that thought, it made me question her real love for men and their struggles. Masculinity will continue to perform and we will all get to see it on display as the worlds economy collapses. You will all see what healthy masculinity will do for nations, as well as unhealthy. These past few decades, it's been pushed aside and neglected, but times will soon show what healthy men can do when they rise up for the love of those around them. Just like the great depression, and the world wars. There are unwavering virtuous men out there, with a passion to see righteousness and equality. The current times aren't calling on such men, so continue to interview gender fluid men on the urban streets, holding their extra whip Frappuccino's with their impotent wrists, and ask them what their opinion is on such matters :P

We differ on that one. I don't think a life well lived depends on its duration. It depends on what you do today to make your limited time worth a damn. The hardest part is knowing how to make your life worth it. To some it comes naturally, to others it takes a lifetime.

Totally right. Opening up and talking about our feelings? Yeah that's a recipe for disaster with woman. They don't give a shit. They want you to remain strong and unwavering. Any such things expressed, whether they want it or not, is just used against you, or as leverage to see your true strength. I can see exceptions with mothers and grandmothers toward their own young boys growing up, but I cannot see beyond that.

They may not say it, they may not leave you, but their behavior changes. Mothers are the one and only sure fire exception. In a healthy family of course. Not all moms are good moms, but a mothers love for her son is often unconditional. You shared a body for 9 months and she raised you from a pup, and you should always be good enough for her. My mother has always been there for me. You can make the argument for sisters and grandmothers to a lesser extent, but I never had a sister and my grandmother was not a good person. My mother was the only women who ever loved me at my lowest

If men are less likely to wear masks according to a tiny sample of 2000, then that means very large numbers of men wear masks; very large numbers of women do NOT wear masks, but somewhat more men do not wear masks. Do you understand what confirmation bias is (no because you "studied" gender "studies") why do you keep interviewing gay men, trans men.... obviously this will give you a highly biased sample as these are men who are struggling with gender identity and social norms. Well I see no one speaking out about suicide rate, job fatalities, homelessness, domestic violence and antagonization of men.
