Yeah. I'm not going to lie, I used to watch this show frequently because it was so insane. I remember the episode where lizard lick got attacked by a biker gang, the one where Bobby gets stabbed, and the one where one of their repos blew up the vehicle so they couldn't tow it. There was always something happening on this show. There were times it was 100% scripted and other times it seemed like it was incredibly real. It was pretty odd yet fascinating. Great vid as always Chris.

Hey Chris! You were aaaallllmost spot on. Instead of North Carolina, a lot of it was filmed in Greenville South Carolina. I have a friend from high school that actually had the cast roll up to his dad’s house in a gated neighborhood and asked if they could film an episode at his house and if he wanted to be in it. Basically they staged the entire episode as if it was filmed in Atlanta but it was in the suburbs of South Carolina. They paid for B-Roll of downtown Atlanta but the whole episode was a sham.

I freaking love lizard lick towing. I never missed an episode. That's not even the craziest episode by far

So you guys know “Talladega nights” the movie with Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly doing massively over the top southern accents... that’s all I can hear when I’m watching this 😂

2 times my mom had her car repoed. Once when I was a small child and I remember mom crying and begging this man to not take her car since she got paid next week and he just shook her off. It was just me and her in a tiny apartment and she had no idea how she was gonna get to work. Thankfully one of my great uncles got a deal on a car couple months later. The second time it happened I was almost done with college and my mom hadn’t had a job in 2 almost 3 years after the recession. Finally my mom found a good paying job and her current car was REALLY old like we would PRAY before turning it on. She used it for a trade in with this shady company and she missed on payment before she forgot to update the card info, so she called and explained the issue since the way it worked when that happened you can’t pay online anymore. And the payment department was closed so she was gonna pay tomorrow and while my mom was at work the company just SNATCHED her car. My mom was broken . Thankfully things are better now but man I do not have good memories with repo shows.

I just love that Mr. Lick wears his glasses not on the top of his head, but the top of his forehead, lest he mess up his very styled ferret that sits atop it. Also when he wears his glasses over his actual eyeballs, the sides are up by his temples. I’m fascinated.

Some WOULD say that if you’re causing a scene at the Lizard Lick Chick’n Pick’n, then that IS an Avengers level threat.

My favorite part of this video was the gusto with which Chris commits to inserting the phrase “Lizard Lick Chicken Pick’n” and/or “Chicken Pick’n” as often as possible. Cracks me up every time.

I remember the time they did a repo on a car while they were meant to be bodyguards for Ric Flair (yes as in the wrestler Ric Flair) at a special event and Ric got so pissed he kicked them out of the event, the dudes felt bad for ruining the event so they tried going back to apologize to him but he was already gone. So the whole "they can't stop the urge to repo" is a very common thing in this show. On a sadder not though, I heard that during one of the repos, one of Ron's kids got killed, repoing is a dangerous business especially when family is involved.

Bro are those Disney vhs's or the whole goosebumps series on the shelf behind you? Either way, my respect for you has increased tenfold

This was a staple in my middle school era tv lineup. The southern charm this show has and it’s not (entirely) terrible plot lines made this one of the best shows in garbage tv. You should try billy the exterminator! Both of these shows have a similar vibe

Flying Wild Alaska would be a good one - I remember one episode where two lost hunters were missing in the wilderness for weeks, feared dead, and the pilot that finally located them had to do a life or death precision landing to rescue them. They really didn't think anyone would wonder why the camera crew were also already on the ground to film the landing 😅

I absolutely loved watching this show for about a year. I just couldn't stop between the poorly acted scripted scenes to the fights that look like they were choreographed by one of the chickens at the pickin'. The whiplash nature of the show was absolutely hilarious. Though I'd be lying if I didn't say I watched it to feel a little better about some of the people I knew and am related to. My best friend was actually able to get a picture with the owner and his wife when he went on a family road trip. It was funny because I had no idea he also watched the show and looking back on it now that seemed like such a fever dream of a show I can’t believe it existed.

This place is like an hour away from my house and I’ve been there once or twice. If your car gets towed anywhere in the state, it could end up in their yard. The whole place is covered in memorabilia from the show. They’re all really nice people in real life.

Each episode: They had to repo a vehicle. "This is the most dangerous job I've ever did!" A fight breaks out. "Bobby!!" ×300 The person who had their vehicle repoed comes back and attacks their shop. The wife says something intelligent. I loved this show.
